Welcome to the Team, Malfoy

Chapter 4

Monday came by quick. I soon found myself dressing to go to Malfoy Manor. After I finished I grabbed my purse and apparated to the front of the gate.

As I walked the path towards the door, I found myself staring in awe (yet again) at the garden. I quickly make my way to the door then knock.

I wait a few.....Merlin! I forgot! I ring the stupid doorbell, and the door opens a couple seconds later.

Malfoy nodded his head at me, in greeting,"Granger." I nod my head,"Malfoy."

"For starters," I say,"Please put up a sign or something, that indicates a doorbells there. It's a little hard to remember." He chuckled making me smile.

      He comes out and closes the door behind him. "Where are we going?" He asks. I offer my arm. He hesitates then takes it.

      I apparate to the training center for aurors. He let's go of my arm and looks around. There's still some people here, dueling with others or practicing on dummies.

      "Okay,"I said, clapping my hands together. "Let's get started." We start at the dummies.

      After hours of aiming spells at dummies and a few rounds against each other, lunch rolls around. I block the next spell he throws and stop him.

      "What's wrong Granger?" He asked, grinning."Did I finally get to much to handle?" I roll my eyes and look at my watch.

      "Actually Malfoy, its lunch time. Nice try though but I don't think that'll ever happen." I said.

      He just grins. We put our wands away then go to the cafeteria on the third floor. We grab a couple sandwiches and waters then sit down.

      "So I think you're doing great just need work on you're protronus charm," I said. When we got to practicing it on one of the dummies, all he could do was make a little wisp come out of his wand. He'll need a lot of work on it.

      "Well it wouldn't be so hard if I actually had good memories." He said, looking annoyed.

      "Everyone has good memories. Or at least one good memory." I said matter of factly.

      "Not everyone Granger,"He shakes his head.

      We finish up and call it a day. We both go home. I quickly owled Ginny and told her about what happened today, then owled Harry saying I'll take the rest of the day off. Then, I got into my pajamas and sat in front of the television with popcorn for the rest of the evening.
