After a few days of packing I went with the ranger, whose name I found out to be Korz. We arrived at a cabin next to the woods and went inside. I unpacked in his apprentice room, so to speak, and my first assignment from him was to clean up around the place. It was already clean, I just had to dust just about everything. After the first day consisting of dusting and beating rugs, we had dinner and I went to bed. He woke me up early in the morning to start my training. "Alright, let's see what you can do with long distance archery. I've seen you do mid range, but not long. Start," he said. I nocked an arrow, pulled back, aimed, and let it fly. It missed the target, but just barely. "Well that could use some work," he said. "Now let's try mid range, but speed and accuracy combined is what I want to see". I tried, but while going fast I was inaccurate and when trying to be accurate I was slow. We did both long and mid range for a few hours and then moved onto dagger training. We did that for a few hours and then moved into throwing knives, which I had never used before. I was okay, but my throwing knife skill needed major improvement. We practiced all day and I was exhausted by nightfall. This went on for days, which turned into weeks, which turned into months. After about 7 months, I had improved majorly. With my bow I could shoot sort of fast with not too bad accuracy at mid range, and at long range if I aimed for long enough then I could hit the target with okay accuracy. Since I had trained four four years in hand to hand combat I was getting good with my dagger. I was mediocre with my throwing knife skill, and I had lots of work to do.
