Hope.
A four lettered word. But what impact can four letters have when written together. It forms a sword which slays all the doubts and uncertainty. But for hope you need courage.
Courage to accept things as they are.
Elliot Carter , as a kid , was one true examlple of stubbornness. He was persistent in what and how he wanted things to turn out. But when Life throws you into a certain dilemma in which your only weapon is hope, that was what Elliot was never prepared for.
He remembered telling his mother , " I would never fall in love , Ma. I don't believe in it. Not after dad left us. . . "
But the irony never fails to defeat the fate we choose for us. Time changed. Things changed. Now he was here, crying for a certain brunette because he was hopelessly in love with her.
Hopelessness. The word feels so sour in the mouth and equally poisonous when it comes out. But it was what that was slowly lacing Elliot's broken heart.
