It happened so quickly that everything seemed to vanish around him. The world stopped turning, the clock seemed still and his heartbeat stopped. The breathe he was going to exhale, never actually left as he felt something move for the fourth time.
His eyes , wet with unshed tears, slowly moved to their interwined hands.
He saw Noelles finger twitch and a single tear left his eye. His mouth was opened but nothing actually came out for he was in too shock to speak.
Understanding nothing, Elliot abruptly stood up and saw the girl , in front of him, move her fingers. But then in a moment , her chest started falling up and down. Intentionally, he ran and pressed the emergency button.
And as if the doctors knew this was going to happen, All of them came rushing in, clearing everything in their way.
The celebration stopped as if it never started. Elliot chewed on his hands, something he started to do often.
"Please go outside Mr.Elliot." They didn't give him the time to respond and rushed him outside.
Inside, there was a whole new world of misery. But the pain was going to end soon, who would've thought? Not Elliot.
"Jasmine give me the oxygen mask, quick!"
Noelles breathe was irregular and the wheezing was getting louder by time.
"Ruth, keep an eye on the heartbeat."
Time passed and nothing happened.
