[ The City Hospital ]
The doctor casually stood near the bed, observing Noelles steady heartbeat. He hadn't said anything since he came in and Elliot was drowning in his nervousness.
"Will you say something already?!"
"You need to calm down. That's what I will say."
"I don't get you. At all! You have been here for 30 minutes and haven't spoken a fucking word. What am I supposed to think?!"
"You need to be realistic, Ok? We are doing what we can. Hurting yourself will not heal her."
And that was true, he knew. There was nothing he could do to heal her.
"Her heartbeat is steady. I will say it's a positive sign."
That was all he said before leaving.
Positive. Its been so long since he last heard that word.
