I hear footsteps running towards me I turn and see Thomas, he stops suddenly and gasped, he was out of breath and his hands on his knees which was odd for Thomas since he was a runner. "What's wrong did something happen?" My mind travels a million miles trying to imagine the worst thing that could happen and pick out something that did fit to the circumstances.

"O-Oriel," he said in short tiered breaths, "she's gone." My mouth opens wide as if a scream were to come, nothing, I fall to my knees, this was my fault I stormed out on her when she told me the truth about her, her past life I should have accepted it. Instead I called her a liar, she ran away from camp because I acted selfish. I got up which surprised Thomas, he seemed of his game lately. I told him I was going for a walk. He nodded and went off to bed, what he didn't know was I was headed to the weapons shed. I geared up, a quiver of arrows strapped around my back and a bow in hand I stuffed my pack full of knives, food, and a first aid kit incase Oriel is hurt. Lastly I fill up my canteen, there's a water station positioned in the middle of camp so I try and make my trip quick and unnoticeable. The only person I don't fool is Michael, of course he's the only one out, all the others are in their tents or in medical getting training for our upcoming rebellion.

"Where do you think you're going?" Michael asks concern in his eyes, "you better not be going to look for Oriel" he puts his hand on my shoulder.

"I'm just going on a hunting trip," my voice I full of uncertainty and I shrug of his hand. "see I have my bow, and some arrows" I say quickly after my other statement. I look down before I get lost looking in his mesmerizing eyes, before I lost the mission plan. Michael had a knack for telling if people are lying he does it with Bryson and Oriel all the time but he seems stuck on me, not being able to tell from my face my lies drives him crazy, he tenses up almost worried. I grab his hand hand squeeze it before letting it go. "I'll be fine, I'll be back before tomorrow" he looks up at my and pulls me into a fierce kiss. His hands running through my hair and soft lips against mine makes me feel safe. My body pressed against his makes me feel warm. I pull away and smile at him, "I love you" I whisper and walk away. Hoping my unbelievable alibi might actually work.
