My really good friend made this for me! So she wanted me to post this for her so I am! It also gave me an idea :3

I walk down the silent street.
Waiting.
The soft glow of lamps fill the windows, a shadow is following me.
Deep, dark and black.
I glance back and quicken my pace. I have a feeling. As I pass houses the lamps are put out. It feels as though a heavy cloak of darkness has covered the town.
It's just the shadow and I.
Lurking,
Dashing,
Darkness.
The cold chill of the night seeps through my jacket like an icy hand.
I see a light. I run towards it.
Closer,
Closer,
Gone.
The shadow is getting closer. It's catching up.
I feel my happiness leave me.
Everything turns cold,
Everything turns sad.
Frost covers my vision, everything fogs up. I have no free will.
The shadow has caught up, it's leaning over me.
With my last ounce on strength I open my eyes.
" Get away from me!" I shout.
The shadow looked troubled for a minute but quickly recovered. He leaned back over me.
I glared up at hi with an icy stare.
I said, " Get away from me!"
I lifted my arms and pushed him away. I got up and ran, and ran, and ran.
When I finally dared to glance behind me I saw nothing.
The lamps were lit again, my happiness was back.
I reached my home and pulled the door open.
I grabbed my box of matches and lit the lamps near my windows.
Everything was right in the world.
