Theo
The week went by really fast. I couldn't believe that it was already Friday. I sat in my room and finished up some homework before Crowdy came into my room and sat on the bed.
I deeply sigh before looking up up him. "Crowdy man what the fuck are you doing?" I said with irritation in my voice.
"I came early because I got bored." He said as he cut on the Playstation and put in GTA5.
"Nigga, you have a whole playstation at home, so why the fuck you stay trying to get on mines, young?" I asked.
"I like playing on yours because I can practice before I do reckless shit on mines. I don't have shit to lose on yours. And from the look of your inventory and money, you don't have much to lose either." He said as he grabbed the controller and cut it on.
"Not today Theo.....not today.." I mumbled to myself to stay calm and sighed as I finished up the last problem.
As Crowdy continued to play, I finished my AP calculus homework and put it up and sighed in relief that I was done for the weekend and wouldn't have to worry about it.
"When are we going to start that creative writing thing?" Asked Crowdy.
"Well, I'm glad you asked, I'm going to-" I was cut off by Keenan walking in and talking.
"Aye what's up. I locked the front door before I came in." He said as he plopped on the bed.
"Aight, but anyways, I been pinning ideas onto this board to start as a brainstorm type of thing. I was thinking we could have six subjects and situations/scenarios that we can have and write how it affects a person and then a negative toll it could take on their life followed by a positive way it could." I said.
"What if we do it about us?" Suggested Keenan.
Crowdy looked over at him and I glanced at Keenan, us both wanting him to continue.
"Like, what if we have three subjects, four pages for each life. Like how I'm a poor street nigga living dollar by dollar to support my family and grew up and was basically raised by the streets. And how you had the life of a smart kid who could be anything but was affected by the death of your father and how it took a toll on you. And then how Crowdy has the life that me and you wish we had, from the outside looking in, but in real life, he going through shit with his parents and some more. We can talk about how all three of us also wants to attend big colleges. Make it like a story but its about us." He explained.
"Three men, same dream." Said Crowdy simply, and I nodded my head and wrote down my name, Crowdy's name, and Keenan's name on a piece of paper and stuck it onto my wall.
"What if we write three pages each about our personal lives and then we write about how getting into situations and facing hardships kept us together." Said Keenan. I nodded with agreement and Crowdy just shrugged.
"Okay, so let's write down stuff about us that we want to include in the paper and then we can tape it on my wall next to our names as a brainstorming type thing." I suggested and they nodded as we began to start working on our project, and without knowing it, four hours had passed and we were talking, listening, and making jokes about our lives.
It was as if we knew each other for years. As if we were brothers. A bond that I could never form with Milo due to our differences.
"Okay, so let's start setting up for the party so that y'all can get home before it gets too late." I said.
