Machines softly beep as they monitored what they were supposed to. A pair of blue eyes silently stare at the recovering petite frame in front of them.

The owner of the eyes which carried interest, hears footsteps loudly entering the room, he looked up to see another fellow doctor, "Jane Doe has no emergency contacts," He informs the quiet man before stepping out of the room.

He sadly sighs and reaches for her hand as another pair of footsteps near the room, "I heard you've been in here for hours," they announce, causing him to gently remove his hold of her hand.

The man then proceeds to look at the patient, and shares a soft gasp, "has her boyfriend came in already?" Dr. Jesse questions, unknowing of the dilemma.

He cringed when he heard the word he hadn't put into question, but also sighed in relief, "You know her?"

Dr. Jesse raises his brows and purses his lips, "Yeah, that's Maya. Her son is my patient, he just had his surgery a couple hours ago too," he explains.

Dr. Jesse offered to walk Maya's doctor to Caleb's room in the peds wing of the hospital to get more information on people who should be informed about her accident.

Both men walked in, a wave of shock hitting one of them when seeing Lucas.

"Josh, What are you doing here?" Lucas questions, confused, but excited to see his uncle.

Josh glances at the little boy before turning back to Lucas, "can we talk, outside?"

They both make their way out the door as Lucas walked with confusion, and Josh with such dreadful news

Josh clears his throat, not knowing how to tell him, although he and any others are trained for these moments, "Maya got into a car accident. She still hasn't woken up," he informs.

"What?!" Lucas stood there trying to process the words that were being thrown at him. He seemed to be zoning out, not sure of how to proceed.

He stumbles on his words at first, but manages, "can I see her?" He questions.

Josh nods and begins leading him in her direction.

"So, I see you moved on... from Tess," Josh randomly throws, he knew it wasn't the right time deep down, but he didn't know what to talk about.
