***Terra's P.O.V.***

As of this moment, Aaron isn't speaking to me. He sticks close by my side at all times, but only talks when it's required. With his arm firmly around my shoulders, I turn a page in my book while he watches a basketball game. We're still in the hospital room, but my mate is healing nicely and keeps trying to leave before the doctors want him to.

Now, why is he not speaking to me?

I wouldn't tell him what happened in the library. I haven't even told Reed what I know.

Looking at the clock by the TV, I see it's around eleven in the morning. He should be awake by now, considering he likes to stay out late and party.

I place my bookmark into my book and shut the cover. Aaron, knowing this means I'm going to leave him, tightens his grip around my shoulders.

"Aaron..."

"No."

"You don't know what I was going to say." I say, quickly going on the defensive. He grabs my chin and makes me look directly into his smoldering eyes.

"You're going to leave me here in hell all by myself with no company. I'm about to go crazy in this place and you disappearing for hours every day doesn't help." My features soften, and I lightly cup his face with one hand.

"I can't sneak you out of here, if that's what you're hoping for." He frowns.

"Are you going to tell me what yesterday was all about?" I shakes my head, and he sighs loudly. "I didn't think we kept secrets from each other." I know he's planting a seed of guilt, but I won't tell him... at least not yet.

I quickly escape from under his arm and run from the room before he can grab me. I make a face as the door shakes and the handle rattles. Slipping the key into my pocket, I start out of the hospital wing, my two guards close behind me.

I had a lock put on the door and it locks from the outside, keeping my mate in and unfortunately, keeping his anger in as well. It's for his own good though.

"TERRA!" I can picture the red-faced rage I'm going to face later, but I push those feeling aside. Now I have to loose my shadows. I don't know how Reed is going to take this and he doesn't need an audience.

"I'm sorry sweetie!" The shaking stops for a moment before an even louder crash sounds from inside.

"LIKE HELL YOU ARE! OPEN THIS DOOR!" I kiss my fingertips and lightly touch the door.

"I'll be back soon. Love you." I cringe as something else breaks and quickly turn on my heel, heading from the hospital wing. He's going to literally kill me later.

"Princess, I don't mean to speak out of term, but as a mated male, I can see what your mate is upset about." I look over my shoulder to see which guard spoke.
