Scarlet Forest - Forest of Hope

Chapter 4

Two weeks have passed by since we have become mates, and life has been getting more calm here. Izaliah taken on a student in the form of the gossiping kitten, so she and Anitsuya have went on a quest to find medicine.

Napoli, Blue and I have been helping to train Kuzu and Dani. Dani misses her sister a bit, but enjoys spending more time with Kuzu. I think she likes him, but they're young, so I don't know how it will work out.

Napoli said that he would watch Kuzu and Dani if we wanted to go explore, too. Gladly, we agreed to it and we started to pack supplies.

Setting out was rough, as Kuzu and Dani wanted to come too, but Napoli said that he needed someone to interact with, even though he's a bit shy.

We made sure to avoid Heather's house and farm area. My trusty blue scarf had recently been recovered from her, and I was glad to have it back.

"Let's stop and rest," Blue glances at me, "I think I see somewhere nice." The two of us sit down on the side of the path and begin to talk.

"Dani really seems to like Kuzu," I tell him and he nods in agreement.

"Kuzu seems to like Dani back," Blue replies, "but they're young." Our conversation continues with a different topic - how lonely and boring it was getting with only Dani, Kuzu, and Napoli, with us.

Soon, we're cut off by a voice. 'Hey! Come back here, you theif!" comes a panicked cry, and a jet black cat with piercing red eyes scampers by with a large branch in his mouth. "That's for my friend! She need it!"

"Help me, please!" the source of the voice, a pale gray tom with amber eyes begs, running past us. Blue and I glance at each other, before following him.
