Scarlet Forest - Forest of Hope

Chapter 2

 We all began to drop our formality after a while, deciding to welcome each new member how we usually act, which relieved me. I hate being formal! The first of the new members were found when Blue and I were out hunting, and we saw some figures. "It's those three kittens from the barn! Dani, Anitsuya, the siblings, and their friend Kuzu!"

Blue took a moment to process it. "Named after three of the legendary defenders of Selphin?" I nodded. "They look like they're terribly hurt though. We need to help them."

"Forest!" wailed Dani as she fell down next to me. '"Heather beat us! It hurts, it hurts...."

Heather, our old owner, wasn't a nice person to begin with. She was always bossing us around, and would snap at her many, many pets if they did something she didn't like. " Don't worry. Izaliah can fix you up." Blue reassured them, picking up two of the three kittens and left me to carry Dani.

Napoli yelped when he saw us. "Izaliah! Come quick! " When she rushed over, Izaliah gasped and asked us to tell the entire story while she worked.

"I decided to ask Forest to go hunting with me. When we got to the Dusty Pit, we found the three kittens, Dani and Anitsuya, who are twin girls, and Kuzu, their tom friend." Blue explained.

I started up next, "They used to live in Heather's barn. Heather wasn't a nice person, you know! She beat them, and they escaped from my understanding. Will they be okay?"

Izaliah nods, taking in the story. "Yes. The red one is Dani, and the blue one is Anitsuya, right?" I nodded. "Okay, didn't want tomix up the girls. I just need to finish dressing Kuzu's wounds."

She paused, concentrating on her work before smiling. "Done! You'll be alright, little kittens. But, what do you plan to do next, my dears?"

"Can we live with you now? We don't wanna go back!" Anitsuya cried out. I nodded, licking her head to smooth her fur.

"Welcome to the Scarlet Forest Village. We'll all pitch in to help you create your new homes! "

Everyone cheered as we set out to build dens for the three kittens.
