I wasn't always Christina, once upon a time, everyone thought I was Curtis, including my childhood best friend Derek Williams, I had always like Derek, but there was no way I could tell him that I am actually a female, and not this amazing guy he thought I was, I always knew he was attracted to males, and there was no way I could do that without jeoperdizing myself mentally and emotionally, because then he would think that I'm gay, when really that is not the case, to be gay, I would have to be guy, and although I was biologically one, I wasn't a guy in any other sense. I hadn't had the courage to tell my parents I was a girl until I was 6, and by then, I had already ruined Derek's reputation to take the spotlight off of myself..that was mean of me, but I had to protect myself, I couldn't let Derek kissing me get the best of me, and I couldn't let myself fall for him. After I told the school he was gay, he constantly got bullied, I couldn't bare putting myself back in the spotlight, so I ended up never speaking to him again, and he ended up moving schools entirely,not sure which one though.
This past year had been total hell. When I was 6yrs old I had started to transition from Curtis to Christina, but even though I did testosterone blockers, and gotten the shots and looked totally female, I hadn't had the ability to completely change my name, nor my marker. I had been getting bullied the past year and had been recommended to a school that was quite accepting that would call me by my name and pronouns and let me enroll as female despite the legal documentation. Instantly I was dubbed the 'new student' and just as I had been making my way to 2nd period,because I was too late for 1st, I had ran into none other than Derek Williams, and boy did I prey he did not recognize me.
