It was a few days after the new guy Eren joined the scout regiment. And you had taken quite a likeing to him.

When he was hungry you would offer extra food. When his Titan arm burst you were by his side. And so many other times.

Now it was his turn.....

You had just gotten a letter from wall Rose where your family lived. And like you, your brother wanted to join the scouts but he was one year younger. Or should I say, was.

It has turned out that he was helping with getting rid of some of the titans that werre scratching at the wall. When his ODM gear broke and he fell to his death.

You two always had a close relationship, and hearing this made your heart sink. Levi let you take the day to yourself and Petra was trying to calm you down while you were in the study.

"(Y/N)......." Petra started.

"No Petra it doesn't matter okay, I'm fine." You mumbled with your head in between your knees.

After a while of trying to convince you of calming down she gave up and left. Then came your guardian angel.

"(Y/N)?" Eren asked as he walked into the study with a duster. Levi ordered him to clean it.

"What?" You said holding in your tears. But it didn't work so you shoved you face back in between your legs.

Eren walked over and sat next to you on the floor. He gently rubbed circles up and down your back trying to calm your shivering figure.

"What's wrong?"

"Why do you care?"

"Because it makes me sad to see you like this."

You looked up with red teary eyes and sniffled.

"My brother....Was......His gear broke and he fell....And then.....He got eaten...." You sobbed into your hands.

Eren's face went soft and he wrapped his arm around your shoulder. "....I know how you feel.....I know everyone says that but I do........I know how you want to jump over the wall and kill all of them.....But it takes time......Trust me I know.....I lost my mother...."

You looked up and him and crashed into his chest hugging him. Tears left little damp spots on his shirt as you wept.

He gently gave you a kiss on the head and let you cry until you eventually fell asleep in his arms.
