Zoe's pov

"Momma!" Carlos yells.

"What?" I sigh.

He stumbles into my room, smiling, "Can you play with me?"

"What are you playing?"

"Hide and seek," he continues to smile.

"Okay," I jump off the bed and join him.

"You count, and I'll hide," he demands.

I agree, turn to the wall, and start counting to 30.

"28...29...30! Ready or not here I come!" I shout.

I turn around and Carlos is standing right behind me.

"Why aren't you hiding?" I ask him.

He shrugs causing me to laugh, and him to laugh along, after.

I grab his hand and we head downstairs when we hear the door slam.

"Tía!" Carlos runs to Lexi.

(Translation: Aunt)

"Hola, mi amor," she carries him.

(Translation: Hi, my love)

"I can't believe you're turning 23 tomorrow!" She plays around with him.

"Tía, I'm turning 5!" Carlos laughs.

"No way!" She jokes. Lexi puts Carlos down, and he runs off to his room.

"Every time I see him my heart breaks. He's not going to have a father figure in his life," she sighs.

Four years after Calum left, he texted me, and then blocked my number. It was the first time I had heard from him. I moped around even more for a couple of months, but I had figured I needed to move on. So, I went to a club. I did a little dancing and I met this guy we dated for a month and when I told him I was pregnant, he left. However, he was the one who didn't notice the hole in the condom.

"I know," I say.

"You're doing an amazing job, though," she smiles at me.

"Thanks," I lightly smile back.

"I have crazy news!" She jumps, as she rubs her little baby bump.

"What is it?" I get a little anxious.

"I'm having twins!" Lexi yells.

I run to her and hug her, "I'm so happy for you. Aw, we're going to have three kids running around in this house."

"Shit," she, jokingly, groans.

"Your kids are going to be cuter, though. They're going to get their looks from their handsome dad and beautiful mom. Carlos only has one good looking parent," I pout.

"Eh. Your ex wasn't that good looking," she chuckles.

I, lightly, slap her arm, "I meant me."

She continues to laugh, and take the groceries out of the bag, and put them where they belong.

"I had a dream about Calum, again," I tell her.

"You have a dream about him every night," she rolls her eyes.

"This one was weird, though. I had pushed him on the road and he was the one that got run over, but when he got better, he forgave me."
