Perrie knew he would never love her.

He only ever loved her. Perrie could change the world for this boy and he would never notice, he only has eyes for that blonde one on Rue Monge. In that big house, number 58.

You see, Perrie moved to France in 1785 expecting to see great things. She fell in love and then the revolution began. She came here from England as a rich, but humble, respectable young lady at the age of 17.

She can still remember the first attack and what they did to her family.

The men came rushing in at nine o'clock. They grabbed Perrie's mother first and then her father and took them outside the house, leaving Perrie and her brother on the inside. They sat, huddled, on the couch.

Bang!

Perrie's breathed hitched in her throat. "What was that?" She asked Jonnie. "I don't know, Perrie." He replied.

Bang!

They heard it again. And another three times before a thick silence coated everything. Perrie could hear herself breathing. She could hear Jonnie breathing as well.

"Stay here, Perrie. I will be right back." Jonnie said while getting up.

Perrie nodded. "Be careful."

He nodded and walked out of the living room where they were both sitting seconds earlier. Seconds later it was only Perrie, and she was starting to feel Jonnie's absence.

It was ten minutes and Jonnie still hadn't returned. Perrie stood from her place in the corner and wiped her eyes. She slowly made her way to the front door where Jonnie had gone. When Perrie reached the front door he was just standing with tears in his eyes and his mouth partially open.

She looked in the direction of where he was looking.

Perrie gasped and covered her mouth. What she saw hurt and shocked her. She would never be able to get that image out of her head.

Perrie and Jonnie's parents lay dead in the street. Those men that came had come and executed their parents in the middle of the street. Other people had been killed too but Perrie was only focusing on her parents.

That was 4 weeks ago and since then Perrie and her brother had to live in the streets with nothing but the shirts on their backs. Perrie had only a dress with a thick belt around the middle. Her brother only wears simple clothes.

Perrie was 20 and it was 1788. She knew what the school boys were planning and when they will put this plan into action. The boys will attack the French Monarchy on the day of General Lamarque's funeral. Lamarque was the man that spoke for the people here below, the ones that live in the gutter and don't have a say.

He was an honourable man but had been sick for quite some time. His funeral was in three days and all the boys were preparing. Including him.

Andre. He was Perrie's best friend but he had no idea that she was madly in love with him. Now he has gone and married that bourgeois girl. Perrie has no idea what he saw in her.

Jonnie and Perrie hid in a small shack down the road to the pub. "Hey Jonnie?" Perrie looked over at her brother who was nibbling on a small peice of bread. Perrie already ate her days share of food.

"Yes"

"Are you going to fight with the others?"

"Of course."

"Why?" Perrie asked whining a little. He is the only family she had left and she didn't want to lose him.

"Because this monarchy is tearing this country apart and if I don't then we will have no chance in having a home and being equal with the fat ones."
