Walking Dead

Liam was very nervous about the walk with Charlotte. They were meant to be together for all eternity. If he stuffed this up then he is an eternal bachelor. They walked out the door as soon as Charlotte suggested it.

"So what is your full name?" She asked Liam.

"Liam James Payne. You?"

"Charlotte Maryanne Cohen. Where are you from?"

"Wolverhampton. You?"

"Cheshire. Just around here."

"What's your favorite colour? As cheesy as it sounds." Liam asked, they giggled together.

"Maroon, you?"

"Purple."

Their conversations were similar to this until they got philosophical.

"What's your favorite TV Show?" Liam asked.

"When are you from, again?" Charlotte asked, sass dripping out of her voice.

"Uh, only 2010, thankyou."

"Well then, I like...Doctor Who."

"No," Liam said, lengthening the vowel sound, "Torchwood is so much better."

"What? No, definitely Doctor Who. It is more appropriate for all ages and it is and always has been more popular." Eventually, they agreed to disagree. They walked in silence for a while before Liam found the courage to pipe up.

"What is it about silence that makes people so uncomfortable?" He asked, openly. Charlotte thought about it for a while but couldn't come up with an answer.

"That's a good question." After some more silence Charlotte remembered, for the first time since she died, that she had a family back home. It wasn't much, just a younger brother that she absolutley adored. He was only little and didn't understand what a good parent was.

"What about your family?" Charlotte asked Liam.

"Well, my father died when I was only young and my mother and I lived a sufficient life. When I died, I left her with no one." He answered, "What about you?"

"My parents never cared, they were always on work trips and I was left at home to care for my brother who was ten years younger then me. He'd be turning ten soon enough. I practically raised him. I wonder who is going to now." Charlottes mind drifted to the possibilities of what could happen to her brother, Ben. Maybe her mother and father would put him up for adoption, it sounds like something they would do. Charlotte wouldn't let her mind wander any further as she feared she would start crying.

"Shall we go back now?" Liam asked in a posh, English accent. He jokingly held his arm our for Charlotte. She linked her arm through his and then said;

"We shall." For a while they skiped in the direction of the house but soon Charlotte's legs started to ache so they slowed down a little.

"Has anyone told you about Helena?" Liam asked slowly. Charlotte grew curious, and confused, What had they not told her? Would Liam tell her? Is it serious?

"No, what is it?" She asked eagerly.

"Uh, you know how she is pregnant?" A grave expression replaced the confused one on Charlotte's face. She nodded.

"That's your child." He said abrubtly. Charlotte looked up so fast she almost got whiplash.

"What?" She asked, clearly confused.

"Well, when your child died it sort of transported into Helena. I'm not sure if that makes sense but-" Charlotte interrupted him.

"No, it makes sense but what doesn't make sense is why didn't anyone tell me." Charlotte was seeing red. She was so angry that no one had told her about her own child.

"I'm sorry, Liam," Charlotte was trying so hard not to get mad at Liam, "I gotta go." Charlotte disappeared before Liam could get another word in. She appeared in the living room and marched quickly into Helena's room. By the time she got there she had angry tears beginning to form in her eyes.

"Why? How could you do this to me?" She cried. Helena was laying on her bed reading a book, Harry was next to her.

"What are you talking about?" Harry asked. Helena and Charlotte both give him a look as if to say 'what else?'. His mouth formed a silent 'O' shape and Charlotte kept crying.

"Charlotte, calm down, okay?" Helena said soothingly. She got up from her spot on the bed, next to Harry, and started walking towards Charlotte.

"No! Why should I, you lied to me."

"I'm sorry I lied to you and I'm sorry no one told you before this but there is nothing we can do. It is in the past and your child is still alive that is all that matters." Charlotte hadn't noticed that Liam and Harry had left her and Helena to yell at each other.

"I know my child is still alive and thats what he is, my child. I think I have a right to know if my child is alive." Charlotte ran outside the room and outside the house. She didn't know where she was going or when she would be back but she knew that it would not be for a while.
