An hour into the movie,I was leaned over on Michael, barely keeping my eyes open, when a thin black silhouette blocked my line of sight to the TV,a bright glow at the top of it.
"Cal,put your phone down,"I heard Michael say tiredly.
"No,you don't understand!"Calum jumped up excitedly, more awake than any of us,bending down to grab the remote out of Luke's lap and hit pause.
"Heyyy,it was just getting to the house blowing up!"Amity protested, but Calum was deaf to her, clutching his phone in his hand and grinning like an idiot.
"Wait, did he say yes?"Michael asked, suddenly perking up and sitting so that my head was thrown off his shoulder slightly.Even Luke--who was snoring slightly on the floor--seemed to wake up at those words.
"Did who say yes to what?"I asked.
"He did.Only for three months, but it's better than nothing. He said he could have their passports ready by the morning and he's sent out his assistant to work all night to get everything in order--"
Calum was rambling on and on about gibberish neither me or Amity understood as we gave each other unsure glances.
"What's going on?"Amity asked as all the boys stood up and started grabbing for Calums phone to read the messages for themselves.
"Juliet,Amity,"Calum said in a serious tone, handing the phone off to Ashton and walking over to grab both of our hands and pull us to our feet,"How would you feel about being our new equipment's managers?"
"Excuse me?"
"Go on tour with us! Act like your taking care of Ashtons precious drum sticks or whatever and hang out with us!"
My heart stopped beating for a split second, then obviously felt like it needed to make up for it by beating a billion miles an hour. Go on tour? With them? In America? FOR THREE MONTHS?
"But....but....but,"Was all Amity seemed able to stutter out;but at least she had the ability to form any words.I stood there like a dumb mule for a good minute and a half.
"No buts about it!We can stop by your house on the way to the air port and let you pick up your stuff and--"
"Calum!"Amity interrupted,"Do you really think our mother would let her only two maids go half way across the country when she hardly lets us go three blocks without flipping shit?"
The boys' happy expressions turned solemn in 2.5 seconds at her words, but she kept on,"If we even brought up the idea to her,I think she would go off the deep end..."
Ashton looked to me,but I only shook my head, agreeing fully with my sister and grabbing her hand in mine.
"Am's right. Mum would never let us doing anything like that."
We were all quiet for a moment, until Michael stepped up,"Then we'll sneak you with us."
"Excuse me?"I repeated from a moment ago.
"Yeah! We'll go get your stuff now. You can sneak in the way you snuck out, pack, and get right back down to us before she ever notices. And by the time she does, you'll already be over the ocean."
Luke and Ashton nodded in agreement, but Amity and I saw the flaws in every word he said. My room was fine to sneak in and out of,but Amity's room was right next to mums. She would wake up the moment Ams door opened, and would be on us like white on rice in seconds. She would probably take our phones and laptops after, just so we could have ZERO contact with the boys because of the fact.
They could see the hesitancy in our faces, but still seemed determined. Don't get me wrong;we would love to go with them. We just didn't want to get beat for it.
"Please?"Luke said quietly, looking at Amity with probably the most pitiful puppy eyes I've ever seen that boy give.
I looked to my sister and could see her breaking. As twins, you get to notice each others every feeling, and I could tell she was about ready to crack.
"We wont let anything happen to you."Calum said with a nod,"We just want you with us."
After a moment,the shattered,"Fine."
"You mean it?"Ashton asked louder than before.
"Yes.But we're gonna need a car."
