A/N: An update?! Whaaaat? I mean, it's only been a year! I'm so sorry it took so long for this update to happen, but my computer crashed and took all of my writing with it. But I've pushed through, gotten a new computer, and now I'm back! I hope you're still interested and enjoy(:
Much love xx

As I stood in Ashtons room, rummaging through my duffle bag in search of a new shirt to wear, I thought to myself how different things are going to be from now on. Sure, life is going to go on just fine, but without my mother. Without my home. Without the comfort of where I've grown up. But, of course, with the boys. I'll have my boys by my side from now on 24/7, which is a plus, but what about when we come back? Are we going to have to find new living arrangements? I don't even know how to begin looking for a job, and neither does Am!

I sighed as I pulled a plain black v-neck t-shirt out of the bottom of my bag and laid it across the bed beside the duffle.

"How are we going to pull this off?"I mumbled under my breath, grabbing the bottom corners of my shirt and pulling it up over my head.

"Probably about as smoothly as you pull off your top."

My eyes went wide behind the black fabric of my shirt that was now stuck over my head. I squealed quietly and struggled to pull it completely off, causing me to stumble around the room like a maniac.

I heard a chuckle from the door way as I finally got the fabric away from my face and gasped for air," What the hell are you doing?" I shrieked, covering my front with the coke-covered shirt in my hands.

Michael leaned in the doorway, looking me up and down silently, "Oh please, Jules, you act like this phases me."

I rolled my eyes, the blood that had collected in my cheeks finally dispersing,"Right, sometimes I forget what a player you are."

"Unless you mean Xbox, I'm gonna have to disagree with you," I glanced over to see him speaking with a smile, "I've seen you in less. We've gone swimming enough. Same thing."

Giving up, I tossed the shirt down into the corner of the room with the rest of Ashtons dirty clothes and walked back over to the bed to pull the fresh shirt onto my body.

"Pervert."I whispered, tugging at the fabric to pull out the wrinkles.

He laughed again,"But as I was saying, you guys probably won't pull the whole 'equipment manager' bit off too smoothly, but it'll be fine. We're the stars here, we can do what we like."

I chose to ignore the insult," Sure, but it doesn't make this any easier."

He nodded.

"Juliet! Michael!" I voice called from the other room, "Bus is here!"

My breath caught, which caught Michael's attention in return.

"Hey, hey, hey,"He said, quickly walking over to me and wrapping his arms around me. He had changed his own shirt already, and I took in the smell of his cologne, "Don't panic, okay? This is no big deal. I already told you that we would take care of you, right?"

I nodded into his chest,"I know."

"Good. Now, c'mon, I'll get your things."

I pushed off of him lightly as he moved over to zip up my bag and toss its strap over his shoulder. He led me out of the room and down the hall to where everyone else was already gathered with their various bags scattered around.

"Well, now, I thought you were the equipment manager," A tall man in a suit said, eyeing me with a knowing smile,"not the other way around."

I blushed again, looking at Michael and back to the man in front of me,"I may be the equipment manager, but he's a gentleman."

Calum scoffed,"Sure, he is."

"No one needs your sass." Michael said with a growling tone in his voice as he dropped my bag gently to the ground.

I looked back to the man in the suit and took in his details. He was tall, dark haired, with eyes that came to a point at the edges. He seemed like someone who would get a lot of facials and spend way too much on over-priced coffee that he would never pick up himself.

"You boys ready to head out?" He obviously didn't notice my staring as he addressed everyone in the room while seeming to make a point to ignore Amity and I. My sister edged closer over to me and nudged my shoulder. Clearly, she got the same sense from him as I did.

"Yeah, we just gotta load up the stuff-"

"Isn't that what these ladies are for?" Luke was cut of abruptly by these words, and seemed offended, as only the puppy-faced boy could."I mean, that is their job, isn't it? Or are we trying to make their useless attendance completely noticeable to the press? Are we sniffing out rumors, here?Because that's not what I was getting from the situation, and I do hope I'm not wrong."

"Don't hold back,"Amity pipped up,"speak your mind, mate."

The man gave a cold smile, narrowing his dark eyes,"I'm not your 'mate'. I'm Mr.Kim to you and I will be regarded as your boss."

"Actually, we work for them,"I said shyly, but sternly,"or,at least, that's who hired us, am I right?"

"Actually,I'm the one allowing you to accompany the boys at all. I'm the one in charge here."

I set a defiant look on my face as I walked over to Ashtons bag, picked it up with some struggle, and awkwardly carried it out of the room, down the hall, and out the door. I opened the already cracked door with my foot, as my arms were occupied by the bulky bag, and exited the house.

"Stupid boss man. Who does he think he is?" I complained to myself as I made my way to the bus.

"He thinks he's the boss. Considering that's what he is." Amity said, jogging up beside me with Michael's bass case in one hand and the stand in another.

"Yeah, but he doesn't have to be so cruel about it. "

As we approached the bus, the driver stepped out of his door and went around back to open up the cargo spaces for us. We smiled and thanked him kindly before he returned to his position.

"Well, at least we'll get a good work-out under his command if nothing else." Amity said, awkwardly positioning the case in between the stand and the bag."And just remember; we're doing this for the boys, as well as our own sanity. We're getting out of here, Jules."

Yay us.
