A new life

"How can you be such a fool Athena" Zeus thundered as Athena stood still. She didn't say a word and kept her gaze down. Zeus then began to calm down and walked towards her "you are like a daughter to me Athena. You know I love and care for you the most in all of Olympus but your decision made me angry. I didn't mean to be harsh on you" he said as he stood in front of her.

"I know my lord and I'm sorry, if I've gone against your will but I had to" Athena mumbled.

"Why? Athena why?" Zeus asked in despair.

"Because I love him my lord" Athena said under her breath.

"Ugh!" Zeus yelled "love? How can you love a mortal Athena" Zeus looked at her.

"Because mortals have more love in them, then us" Athena spoke slowly.

Zeus shook his head in disbelief "you are more wiser than this Athena". Athena closed her eyes and said nothing she had nothing more to say what is done is done and now it can't be undone.

"Giving your immortality away to save a mortal from death is a foolish decision. He is a mortal he is bound to die one day or the other. You are a goddess you know better than anyone" Zeus words heavy.

"But my lord, I couldn't let him die. He was in all these mess from the start just because of me" Athena gave a deep sigh.

"You have to take back your immortality. If he loves you truly, he would give it back to you" Zeus looked at her.

"No! Never! It would kill him. I can't let him die" Athena clenched her jaws.

"Then you would die instead?" Zeus asked in horror.

"If I have to I would" Athena murmured.

"The mortal has poisoned your mind Athena. You don't know what you're even saying. Your life is more precious than tens and thousands of mortals" Zeus hissed.

"My lord please, don't argue with me anymore. You know it's my decision to give my immortality to whomever I want, just like my heart" Athena said.

"You would regret this one day my child" Zeus looked into her eyes. Athena smiled and said "maybe I'll or maybe I won't" and walked away. Zeus gave a deep sigh, he hoped and prayed that Athena will come to her senses before it's too late.

Will was busy plucking coconuts from the tree when he noticed the pearl at a distant and a boat rowing towards him. He got down from the tree and tried his best to see who was rowing his way but the sun was bright and he couldn't see properly until the boat was nearer and he saw Gibbs, Elizabeth and a man rowing the boat coming his way. "Will" Elizabeth yelled in happiness as tears filled her eyes. "Elizabeth" Will yelled back.

As they reached the shore Elizabeth ran forward and hugged him tightly "I though I'd never see you again" she said as she pressed herself against him tightly. "My lad, ain't I glad to see you" Gibbs chuckled as he came forward and hugged him.

"I'm glad to see you both. How did you find me?" Will looked at them.

"Nor told us you were here" Gibbs said.

"And we had to see you so, we came rushing" Elizabeth chuckled.

"Where's the lady?" Gibbs questioned.

"She left with Nor, to meet Zeus yesterday" Will said.

"So, Zeus knows" Gibbs murmured.

"Knows what?" Will asked. Gibbs and Elizabeth both looked at Will in disbelief.

"You don't know?" They both asked him at the same time.

"Know what?" Will asked more confused.

"When Athena found you on that island with Cutler you were hardly breathing Will. You were on the verge of dying but the voice of Athena kept you alive, until Cutler pierced your heart with his sword. Then you collapsed and breathed your last on Athena's lap. She couldn't bring you back from the death because she had no power to bring back the dead, except the pirate lords but to see you die her heart couldn't take it. She had fallen for you so deeply and she love you more than life itself. She gave away her immortality so that she could save your life and that's why you are alive my lad" Gibbs looked at Will.

Will was shocked beyond words, he didn't know what to say. "And no one told me that" he murmured.

"She didn't want you to know Will" Elizabeth said.

"So it means, she's mortal now?" Will asked in horror.

"Yes, she is" Gibbs said. That was the reason why Athena was warm when Will hold her, that was the reason why he could feel her blood pumping up and down her veins.

"What have she done" Will said in disbelief.

"She have done what she had for love Will because she loves you and she knows you would do the same for her" Elizabeth smiled.

"Yes, I'd do anything for her without even a second thought but she's a goddess Elizabeth, she can't give her immortality away" Will said.

"But she did and who are we to make decisions for her" Elizabeth said.

A tear rolled down William eye "I love her more and more each and everyday" he said.

"I know you do" Elizabeth smiled at him.
