"No. No. No. I'm not going to wear that, Cassidy Williams and you will not make me." Ashlyn announced sternly as she crossed her arms over her chest in defiance. She turned away from me before heading back inside her walk-in closet.

Gladly, Friday came faster than we imagined to my relief. The day buzzed by with excitement for the upcoming game and party. Before we knew it, our school the Northland High Lions, dominated their football game, winning with 47-7. The whole school was ecstatic, with a win by our side, partying was made so much easier.

The party was being held at Caleb Brewer's house or more like mansion as he was one of the richest kids in our whole entire high school population. His parties were always the most legendary since his home was complete with an outdoor pool, bar and dance floor. With all the money he has, he always rented a DJ so the music was always the best. Besides his wealth and amazing parties, Caleb was the star quarterback of our beloved football team. Plus he had the great looks to go along with it. With dark, brown hair and bright, hazel eyes, he was a heartbreaker, literally. His tone, defined body and outgoing personality had girls falling and knowing this, he used it to his advantage.

Before the party began, Taylor, Regan, Lizbeth, and I headed to Ashlyn's house to get ready. We had at least an hour before the party would finally hit full swing but being girls, that was not very much time to apply our makeup, fix our hair, and get dressed. Everyone was already dressed and already working on their makeup except for Ashlyn who was refusing to wear the dress I chose for her. It was a short, black dress with matching straps and a heart shaped neckline. The back was sexy as hell, as it was only horizontal straps that went down to the waist then flowed down to a bit above the middle of her thighs. It fit Ashlyn perfectly, highlighting every ounce of her body but she claimed it showed too much.

"Can you just wear it?" I begged, annoyed that she was so picky. Ashlyn was always fussing over showing too much skin which made me respect her a lot but this was all for Kyler. As I followed her into the closet, I saw she was violently searching through piles of clothing.

"No." she replied bluntly as she moved onto raiding through the hangers.

Making sure that the other girls weren't listening, I moved a bit closer to Ashlyn before adding, "Please wear this. It'll help us with step two."

"Step two?" she questioned after she stopped her search and turned to face me with curiosity.

"Yes." I assured her, staring straight into her eyes. "Step two: Be cool. Be calm. Be confident."

Taken aback from my statement, Ashlyn wore a jumbled expression. She didn't seem to understand the reasoning behind the step as she spoke, "Cool? Calm? Confident? Elaborate, please."

"Fine." I told her, turning to face her. I explained, "You need to act cool, stay calm, and radiate confidence. Kyler has a girlfriend so no matter which girl it is; he's going to compare them to Daniella. For you to succeed with this mission, you need self-assurance. You need to know that no matter how pretty, nice, or intelligent she is, that you are just as good. When you see him, just remember the three C's. This is the reason why I want you to wear the dress, it'll be a reminder of how you should be in front of Kyler and it'll give you more self-esteem."

Ashlyn became silent, contemplating whether to wear the outfit or not. It was a stretch for her and I wouldn't be disappointed if she chose not to because I knew she prided herself well but she needed something that would make her realize her complete beauty. Most importantly, we needed Kyler to notice too. Although it was a low tactic, boys went for girls that were hot. It was simple. Not to discriminate, girls do it too. So if Kyler becomes attracted to Ashlyn that will be the first goal. Playing it cool will get him to notice her and intrigue him to approach her. While conversing, if she keeps calm, it'll give the allusion that she isn't wooed by his antics which keeps boys interested. This lets him know that she's a challenge, and boys love challenges. Lastly, being confident makes any girl more attractive. Men flocked towards women who were comfortable in their own skin. It would be like killing two birds with one stone.
