"God you need to shed a few pounds!" He grunted.
"What?!"
I studied his facial features and took a mental picture. This guy is gonna get destroyed when we land.
"If there was one thing not to tell a girl aside from 'calm down' when she's upset, telling her she's fat is the golden word." I sassed. " I know I need to lose weight but who the HELL are you to tell me so?"
"I can't voice the truth?" He questioned.
That's it.
I tried to squirm from this strangers' arms but he tightened his grip, nearly suffocating me.
"Good LORD you don't have to SQUEEZE me to death!"
"It's to keep you safe."
"Ahh! Let go of me you napkin of a twa-"
"Keep on moving and you'll fall!"
"Alright-fine!" I sat in defeat but my anger lingered.
I cocked my head behind me to see we were hundreds of feet from the ground. The outline of my home shrank until white fluffs of clouds spilled my view. There's no going back. A heavy feeling pressed against my chest and my throat burned. Before I even realized I was crying, the stranger spoke.
"Mani, I'm sorry this happened." He fixed his arms and loosened his grip. " If I could, I would of protected your parents but they're not my humans."
"What, you're gonna say that you're guardian angel? I already met my-"
Mani! A familiar voice rang in my ears. Ravi? I thought.
"Mani watch out!" Ravi's voice shouted from a distance.
Before I can react, we ran into a solid wall. Feathers slapped my skin and shocked my body. I immediately glanced up to see the solid wall had been Ravi. He reached out to grab my arm and a jolt of energy burned where he touched and caused me to scream.
"Let go of her!" The stranger growled.
"You're hurting her you fraud!" Ravi hissed back.
The stranger took Ravi by the neck. Ravi retaliated by hitting his hand away and reached for me again. As I unwrap my arms to extend out to Ravi, the stranger shoves him and I fall into midair.
"Guys!" I screamed.
Gusts of wind raged and howled as I descended from the sky. I faced down to see the distance that remained
before I crash to my own death. My heart felt like it had bursted from my chest and my breath taken from me. Again i fell but I didn't know who would catch me this time.Save me PLEASE
I spin to the sky to see the Ravi racing towards me. Again I reach up to take his hand. My chance of safety had been tackled away and I was pushed further.
"No!" I scream.
I watched in horror as the two angels continued to fight while I fell.
Please! I thought. Save me, I'm falling and I'm scared!
"I don't want to die!" I scream aloud.
The two looked down at me and raced forward. Both held their hand out but Ravi flew closer. He took a heavy grip of my arm and swung me to his body. The sound of his wings clapped and eventually everything stopped.
"You're okay Mani. We're on the ground." He soothed.
I couldn't stop shivering from fear and he embraced me tighter. Adrenaline rushed through my veins and my heart didn't slow down. He nuzzled his face on my neck and we remained where we were.
"Get away from us," I heard Ravi warn, his voice poisonous.
"You let her go, Ravi." The stranger's voice spat back. " You have no right to take her. Give her back."
I whimpered from the sudden push of my body being thrown to the floor.
"Mani!" Ravi crawled over to me but the other man stepped in between us.
" Step away."The atmosphere they held was strong and dark. The bad energy that radiated from them felt too strong and weighed heavily over me. I felt weak.
"Stop it!" I yelled. "I feel weak!"
They froze and the energy faded. Ravi looked over to me in concern but something different was read in his eyes. I couldn't identify what it was.
Meanwhile, the stranger kneeled down and softly caressed my face."Are you hurt?"He asked.
This all happened because of Ravi's interference. He called him a fraud. I don't know who this guy is but he looked more worried of me than a mother would be of her child. When he touched me, a wave of warmth and comfort covered me carefully like a blanket.
"Who are you?"
"Get away from her N." Ravi hissed.
"N? THAT'S your name?" I choked. " Your name is a LETTER?! Sure make fun of me for my weight but you? Of all names you chose a letter?"
He gave me a weak grin but it dropped once I raised my fist and swung at him for making fun of me earlier. I missed horribly and fell my on face.
Ravi chuckled at me, N and I shot him a glare. "Sorry." He mumbled.
"I didn't choose that name, it was given to me by-"
"The Lord- blah blah blah. We know, but that's not important." Ravi disrupted.
N raised his fist while Ravi tensed up and mirrored him. The bad waves heated up around me; my head grew foggy, my body tingled strongly and I collapsed from weakness. Their tension is the cause of my suffering.
"Stop!" I croaked. "Please."
"You're weak," N gasped. He held me up. " Let me heal you."
It stopped again.
"No, I'm fi- I'm FINE." I pushed him off me. He gave me a questionable look.
"Really, I'm okay."" If she says she's okay then believe her." Ravi said.
"Ravi," I gave him a look of warning.
"Just trying to help." He shot his hands up.
"Thanks but I think I need more help with finding out where we are." We looked around.
Tall, aged buildings extended for a few yards on both sides of us creating what seemed to be a dark alley. Streetlights shined their lights at the ends, revealing the bustling night life of normals. Every now and then a loud rustling sound would occur to the left of where we were but there was nothing there besides a few trashcans and demolished furniture. We sat in place, monitoring our surroundings, lost in the city.
What do we do next?
