Chapter 4 - Snowball Fights

Hey Everybody,

Sorry for long wait. I had mid-terms and I was loaded with homework, so I couldn't get a lot done. My sister has the next chapter, so that will probably be up soon. ENJOY!!!!!

Chapter 4

I woke up to the sound girls shrieking and loud voices coming from outside in the hallway. I sat up in my bed and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. 'Why are girls always so loud?' I thought to myself. I got out of bed, walked over to the door opened it and stepped out of the door to the chaos that was everywhere.

The girls were all running up and down the hallway in various degrees of dressing ranging from fully clothed to barely clothe. To prove my point, Danni runs out of her room in a long sleeve shirt, snow boots, and panties.

"You guys I can't find my insulated snow pants!!" Danni yelled frantically.

"It's in my room, Danni!" Sadie yelled back to her.

"Oh good, grab it and throw it over here" Danni said in response.

As she waits for her pants, she finally realizes that I'm standing in my doorway watching the drama of the morning unfold.

"Ahhhhhhh, what are you looking at perv!!!" she screams at me as she tries to cover herself with her shirt.

"S....S...Sorry" I mumble confused at what she's trying to accuse me of.

She huffed, crossed her arms and turned away from me. At that moment Alex walked out of the bathroom in a robe and down the hallway towards all the chaos. As she walked pass me she stopped and said...

"Since you look clueless as to what's going on let me explain, it snowed about six inches last night, we need to shovel, so get dressed and get out...........side"

Then she walked off to her room.

I rolled my eyes slightly and turned to walk back in my room. Right as I shut my door, I saw Dia walking out of her room.

"Danni, seriously" Dia said exasperatedly.

"What I couldn't find my pants, OWWWWWWW Sadie that hurt" Danni screamed obnoxiously.

"You said grab it and throw it at you" Sadie retorted calmly.

"GIRLS, if you are not dressed and outside shoveling in twenty minutes, all of you are grounded for two weeks, including you Jericho" said Mrs. Delgado.

Well it looks like the grace period is over. I was hurrying around looking for some clothes and snow boots, when I heard a crashing sound and a very loud 'owwwww '. I pulled on a pair of jeans and ran out into the hallway to see what was going on. All the girls were standing on the stairs looking down. I looked over Carmen's shoulder to see what everyone was looking at. I saw Danni lying at the bottom of the stairs, one leg in the pants and one leg out. Mrs. Delgado came out of Esmeralda's room with Essie on her hip.

"Girls, what are you doing? Get out of the way and go back and finish get..... Danni, seriously I've told you countless times pants first then shoes. Are you okay?"

"Yeah mom, I'm okay" Danni said.

"Now everyone, you have ten minutes to be dressed and outside, I would hurry up if were everyone" Mrs. Delgado warned.

After that everyone scrambled around to finish getting ready to get outside.

When we all finally got outside, shovels in hand, we divided the driveway into nine sections and got to work on shoveling. Since Essie was too young to actually help with the work, we told she would be super helpful if she made a lot of snow angels and snow designs for her. She was currently working diligently on her tasks. Everyone was working pretty quietly and efficiently, trying to get the work done fast, so we could go back inside.
