Chapter 10- Double Dose of England

Jericho’s POV

It’s been few weeks since the fight and Mrs. Delgado finally ungrounded me on Wednesday. Let me tell you that Mr. And Mrs. Delgado had no mercy on me they really treated like I was their son. Other then that I was adjusting to the Delgado household, new school, new friends, and new nickname pretty well. Everyone was giving me a certain amount of respect now and the girls were  being really nice to me. Well most of them were for the most part. Unfortunately, though with no one to black mail and nobody really causing problems I had plenty of time to think about my parents and my old life.

To put it in lesser terms, I beginning to feel depressed. For example it was Saturday afternoon and I was lounging, actually, moping in the living on the couch.

“Rico…….Rico…….Hey RICO!!!!!” screamed Lia right in my ear

I jerked my ear away from her mouth. “Owww, seriously!!!” I said irritated

“ Yes seriously, I’ve been calling your name for the past five minutes Jericho, but you haven’t answered” Lia said with a little bit of annoyance.

Now I felt stupid “Oh, I’m really sorry. What’s up?”

“You promised to help me with my science homework today, so I was coming down to ask for help. But you seem down, so you to talk instead”

I chuckled a little at her was always trying to cheer someone up. “No, this is something I’m just going to have to get through on my own”

“ Are you sure because I can tell you more jokes to cheer you up?”

With that I actually laughed out loud “No Lia, I’m good. Now lets get to that science homework”

“ And that’s exactly what makes up an atom. You got that” I said after putting the pencil down on the table.

“Yeah I got it, thank you so much Rico. You’re so smart!”

“I think you mean ‘you’re such a nerd’ Lia” Alex said with a smirk

I rolled my eyes as Lia gathered up her stuff and ran upstairs.

“Why do you insist on making fun of me constantly?” I asked

“Aww Rico, what you can’t handle a little teasing? Ok I’ll stop” Alex said sarcastically

I was about to reply angrily, but at that moment Mrs. Delgado called us into the kitchen for dinner.

“I don’t really care. Do what you want” I replied bitingly. I turned my back on her and went to the kitchen.

“What’s his problem?” I heard Carmen ask

“I don’t know, but his attitude is starting to get on my nerves” I heard Alex complained angrily.

I rolled my eyes at their conversation. If she really wanted know, she could have asked me. I was literally five feet away.

We all filed into the dinning room and took our spots at the table. They finally added an extra so now Essie could sit in her own seat again, instead of on Alex’s lap.

Mr. Delgado said grace, and then we started to eat dinner. Mrs. Delgado had cooked potatoes, steak, and broccoli. This was actually one of my favorite meals. The last time I had it was the night before my parents left for the Delgado’s house. My mom made it, so I could focus on studying for my finals. She always said you couldn’t study on a empty stomach.
