Ava's P.O.V.
"This is the rythym of the night, the night, oh yeah, The rythym of my life, my life, oh yeah, The rythym of my life, this is the rythym of the night, oh yeah!" I sung/ shouted at the top of my voice. I was having the best night ever, I'd found some old friends from high school at the club we went to, and as Emma isn't a party person, and Kyle's gone, who else was I gonna dance with? The song ended and I fell over onto one of my friends, Max. "Oh, sorry!" I laughed. "You look rather handsome tonight Maxy!" Max looked at me concerned. "Ava you've got a boyfriend and you're drunk. I think you should get home babe." he suggested. "How am I gonna get myself back hoommmee?" I sung. That was one of Bastille's new songs, it had gotten stuck in my head while they were practising. "Bye, Ava." Max glared at me. "Bye then Mr.Moody!" I laughed. Before I left I realised I needed to find Emma. She wasn't anywhere to be found in the club, so I looked outside. "Emma? Emma, where are you?" I turned around. "Emma! Oh my god! Please don't be dead!" I was very very drunk so I wasn't quite sure what I was doing but I managed to call an ambulance. "Er hi, I'm not sure what's happened but my best friend is outside a club and she looks like she been beaten up or something, can you come and help? She's unconcious, help please! Thank you! Oh, it's the Mixx Bar, London. Ok. Ok." I put the phone down and waited beside her till an ambulance pulled up beside us and two paramedics ran out with a stretcher. They seemed to be checking her pulse. "Ok, she's breathing. Get her in the stretcher, we'll give her a full check up of the injuries at the hospital." a woman said. They lifted her onto the stretcher. "Do you want a lift home dear?" the man asked. "Oh, no thanks, is it ok if I come with you?" I asked. "Sure, just get in the back with your friend." he smiled.

I slowly opened my eyes, the light was almost blinding. "Emma! Are you ok? Nurse! She's awake!" I heard the sweet sound of Dan's voice. My eyes slowly came into focus and I saw Dan by the door. A nurse came in and Dan asked, "So, is she going to be ok?" and came over to stand next to me, stroking my head. "Well , shes got some bruises and scratches, but she should be ok. She can be discharged later today." the nurse smiled and left. "W-what happened?" I asked, confused. Why was I in hospital? "You were beaten up, and nearly raped." he replied, wiping away a tear. "Well the police think that's what happened, because the same incident occured just down the street from where you were attacked, but he got the other girl much worse. Fortunately, they caught the bastard. You've been in a coma for nearly a week." He then stood there looking at me, trying not to cry. "Hey, don't cry. I'm ok now, you heard the nurse, just a few bruises and scratches, that's all." I comforted him. "I thought I'd lost you, Em." he said shakily. "Well you haven't, Dan. Now come here, I've missed you." I said, pulling him into a hug.
Dan's P.O.V.
It was the end of the UK tour, and I couldn't wait to see Emma. Nearly a month since I'd seen her! I knocked on the door of her flat. No answer. I phoned her. No answer. Weird. I decided to phone Ava, she'd know where she was. They're probably out shopping or something. "Hi, is Emma awake yet?" she asked. "W-what do you mean Ava?" I asked, filling with worry. "Oh no, hasn't anyone told you? She's, er, at the hospital." "Hopsital? Why? What happened?" I said, trying not to shout. "She got beaten up by some guy. She's been in a coma for 3 days...." Oh no. "Ok, thanks. Bye." I said, before rushing to the hospital.
I was directed to her room to find her just lying there, asleep. Her face was bruised, but she still managed to look so beautiful. I couldn't lose her. I loved her, I really did. I'd never felt like this about anyone before, and if she died, I don't know what I'd do. Days, nights, I rarely left that room apart from to get food or go to the toilet. I slept there every night and I was starting to lose hope. What if she doesn't wake up? Suddenly, her eyes fluttered open and to my relief I saw those beautiful blue eyes once more. "Emma! Are you ok? Nurse! She's awake!" I shouted down the corridor to a nurse. The nurse came in and told us that Emma could be discharged later today and left. I felt really happy, but at the same time said, almost guilty. I'd left Emma alone and this happened. She asked what'd happened and I tried to put on a brave face, but I couldn't help the tears escaping my eyes when I told her she'd nearly been raped. What kind of monster would rape someone? She must have noticed my tears and tried to comfort me. "Hey, don't cry. I'm ok now, you heard the nurse, just a few bruises and scratches, that's all." I sighed. "I thought I'd lost you, Em." "Well you haven't, Dan. Now come here, I've missed you." she said, pulling me into a warm hug. I was so glad to have her back in my arms.
