I was awakened by Mrs. Weasley the next morning telling me to get ready to go to Hogwarts. I went and got dressed and decided to go over to Emily's room since my sister and I were sharing a room. I burst the door open and scared the crap out of Harry. Emily stood there laughing and said"Maybe next time you should knock." I went to give Emily a hug and we started chatting about how excited we were to go back to Hogwarts. Emily seemed more excited than me but that's probably because she was dying to get away from the Dursleys.
"I'm not too excited to go back but at least I'll get to see Ron," I said. Harry already knew that I liked him.
"Ya know," Harry said "You and Ron would make a pretty cute couple. I'm sure he'd go out with you if you just asked." I blushed at the thought of us going out. "Being with him seems ideal but I don't think that he would go out with me. I mean what if he says no," I said, starting to lose my hopes of Ron and I getting together.
"(y/n)," Emily said, "Any boy that won't go out with you will regret it later"
All of a sudden, Ron burst in, looking irritable. Emily nudged me and winked. I kicked her in the shins so she would stop. "The sooner we get on the train, the better," he said. "Percy's accusing me of spilling tea on his photo of Penelope Clearwater."
Ron's focus went from Harry to Emily and I. "Are you two alright?" He asked. "Perfect!" I piped while Emily said "I am, but (y/n)'s not. "Harry was about to say something when Fred and George burst in, coming to congratulate Ron on infuriating Percy.
Then, I heard Mrs. Weasley calling us to eat. All six of us ran down the stairs to see the rest of the Weasley family and my sister sitting at the table eating. "Mmmm, the bacon looks good," I thought as I dug in.
As soon as we finished, I got my bags and headed to Kings Cross Station. It wasn't crowded after crossing the border because almost everyone was on the train. Harry, Emily, Ron, Hermione and I all went to look for a compartment together. We were walking down the aisle when I saw a compartment with only one person in it who was sleeping.
"Come on, it's the only one that's not full," I said while motioning to the compartment with my head. We all headed in, and I got seated between Hermione and Ron, across from Harry, Emily, and the weird dude that's been in here.
"Who is that?" Ron questioned.
"That's Professor R.J. Lupin," I said.
"Do you know everything (y/n)?"
"It's on his suitcase, Ronald." Hermione smiled at me because she knew I liked Ron. After that incident, the train ride was pretty quiet except for the rain. Then all of a sudden, the train lurched to a stop. Ron put his hand on the window which was freezing up.
"There's something moving out there," he said, his voice a little shaky like he was scared. I don't blame him. Then the air got cold, real cold. A skinny, bony hand came up to the door. It opened the door and I could see exactly what it was: a dementor. It leaned it's ugly, clothed face up to Harry's and Emily's. It looked like it was sucking out their souls! Ron jumped and squeezed my hand which made me blush.
Then, all of a sudden, the guy next to Emily jumped up and pointed his wand at the dementor. A bright light shown from it and the ugly thing flew away. Emily and Harry had already passed out in their seats. When they woke up, Lupin gave them chocolate. After he left Emily and Harry started asking questions.
"Did you hear that?" Emily asked.
"Hear what?" I said.
"The woman screaming," Harry replied.
"No one was screaming, Harry," Hermione said like it was obvious. That silenced the train ride for the rest of the trip.
When we got off the train, it was icy, cold and the rain was coming down hard. Then, there was a bellowing, familiar voice.
"Firs' years this way!" The five of us walked up to Hagrid and he said, "all righ' you five?" We just nodded and went to the carriages. The ride was pretty quiet until we got off and an annoying high pitched voice came right into Harry and Emily's ears.
"You fainted, Potters? Is what everyone is saying actually true? You actually fainted!?"
"Shut up Malfoy," I said.
"Yeah leave them alone!" Ron added. I was getting real sick and tired of Draco's crap. We walked up and went through the giant, wood doors leading into the Great Hall. All the first years were already sitting down at their assigned tables. "Well, looks like we missed the sorting," I said.
3RD PERSON
The five of them quickly sat down at the Gryffindor table. Unfortunately this year the Slytherin table was right next to the Gryffindor one.
"Potters!" Draco said, trying to whisper but it obviously wasn't working with a big mouth like his. Both Harry and Emily turned around to see Draco with his hood up, trying to act like a dementor.
"Shove off Malfoy!" Ron said while turning Emily and Harry around.
"Thanks," Emily said to Ron. "I really didn't want to see his ugly face any more." Ron snickered and tried to hold in his laugh when Dumbledore got up and clapped his hands.
"Let the feast begin!" The wondrous food appeared before us, and Ron immediately dug his face into it. He had drumsticks in both of his hands, eating them by going back and forth between each hand. As soon as the feast started, it ended and they had to go to their dormitories.
YOUR P.O.V.
Once we got to our dormitories , I found out who I was staying with. It was the same as last year, so it was me, Hermione, Emily, Lavender Brown, and Parvati Patil. Everyone got their showers and then we started asking questions. The first question was "who do you like?" They went around in a circle and of course, I was first. "So, who do you like (y/n)?" Parvati asked while cocking her head to the side. Emily and Hermione looked at me and grinned because they both know who I liked. "Uh," I said. My voice was shaking a little bit because I was so nervous. "It's ok (y/n)," Lavender said, "you can tell us anything."
"Ok, I like Ron Weasley." As soon as I said that, the girls shrieked and started jumping up and down. Emily was already creating ideas of how she would get us together. "
We are so getting you two together!" Lavender and Parvati said at the same time. On the outside I tried to act like it was no big deal and that I didn't want Emily planning anything, but on the inside I was jumping with glee.
I'm reeeaaally trying guys! Honestly! It's kinda hard to write because Harry is the main character so he's usually the center of attention but hopefully I can get better.
:p
