"Never let go of the one thing which makes you happiest"
---
At 7 o'clock I retreat down the stairs, wearing a black skater dress with large black heels and my hair separated into blonde curls which lay loose over my shoulders,
For once I actually feel confident in myself. After practicing doing my eye make up for over 15 minutes I settled on smoky black eyes and light pink lip gloss, making me almost look nice.
Kayla stands at the bottom of the stairs in a tight red dress and huge red heels, smiling brightly at me. She looks stunning as usual and I link my arm through hers, stepping outside the house where brad is waiting.
He breathes in sharply when he sees us, "Wow... you look amazing"
The fact he's also directing that towards me gives me butterflies an I smile in return, "Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself"
He's wearing jeans and a navy shirt, his curls sleeked back with gel.
We make our way down the path, chatting eagerly. As we approach the town my stomach seems to flip and I whisper in Kayla's ear,
"What if she's not here?"
Kayla smiles reassuringly at me, "We'll find her, don't worry"
I nod and follow brad towards the entrance of the nightclub, starting to feel sick with nerves. As soon as we're inside it dawns on me how dark it is in here, and the music is too loud for me to even try and think.
There's people everywhere, dancing, drinking, kissing, chatting...
I link my arm through Kayla's, "Come on, let's look for her"
She shoots brad an apologetic look as we walk off, searching for Jasmine.
I check every single girl with brown ish hair who walks past us for any resemblance of her, only to be disappointed.
We search the toilets as well, checking every cubicle and calling the name 'jasmine' on repeat for over 10 minutes.
When we finally leave and enter the nightclub room again I try one last thing.
"Excuse me?" I ask one boy who's standing in the corner on his own, "Do you know if Jasmine is coming?"
He looks at me oddly before shrugging and turning away, leaving me standing angrier than before.
As the night goes on and more people arrive I give up, walking with Kayla to find brad.
It's then I see him.
George
He's wearing a black and white patched shirt with black skinny jeans, his hair gelled back and each curl defined perfectly,
Kayla's already walked off to find brad and I swear under my breath, darting behind a group of people in order to hide myself.
I rest my back against the wall and shut my eyes in dispair, trying to think logically.
He can't know we're here.
He can't.
Suddenly I see him walking towards where brad and Kayla are, and panic strikes.
He's going to see Kayla
Then what?!
I quickly run round the edge of the room, darting past the crowds of people and trying not to fall over in the dark.
The music is beating in my ear and keep my eyes focused on Kayla, as soon as I approach I gasp for breath,
"Kayla" I pant, "George is here"
Her eyes widen and I stare at brad, "Don't tell him we're here! Ok?!"
He nods in shock and I grab Kayla's arm, running towards the toilets. Just as we run inside I catch sight of George, smiling at brad and looking oblivious to the situation.
I rest my elbows on the sink, my head in my hands,
"This was a stupid idea" I mutter, looking up at Kayla desperately,
She paces up and down the room, "Ok, we need to get out of here"
"How?!" I say in panic, my heart still pounding,
"I don't know Lacy, we just need to make sure George doesn't see us"
All I want to do is cry and I lean back against the sink, about to speak when suddenly one of the cubical doors swings open.
And I see her.
Her black hair is fixed in a perfect bun ontop of head, bright red lipstick and false eyelashes make her features stand out, and her skin tight black dress is shorter than belt,
She flashes a false smile at me before speaking, making my stomach churn,
"You must be Lacy" she laughs, "I'm Jasmine"
Next update tomorrow maybe?
