"Cause we're all dreamers, searching for the dream"
---
Awkward.
The only word to describe the atmosphere right now.
We all sit around a table in Starbucks, me Chris and George, in silence. Everytime we start a conversation it ends with of them having a small snap at eachother, usually over me.
"So..." I clear my throat, "Not long till the concert now"
George smiles, squeezing my hand, "Excited?"
I open my mouth to speak but Chris butts in, "Can't you tell she's excited? I've known her so long even her smile gives away her emotions"
He laughs afterwoods, but George just sits in silence, his hands clenched under the table.
I breathe sharply, ignoring all that's just gone on and starting again, "What time shall we leave?"
"Depends if we're going to straight to the concert or shopping around first" George shrugs, "Up to you"
"Stay here then?" I suggest
He nods in response and a small spark is let off in my stomach, like a tiny buzz Everytime I look at him.
I smile and turn to Chris, "Is that alright with you? Or do you want to go anywhere first?"
"I'm cool with that, got no where to go"
I nod, trying to think of something to say. You could literally cut through the atmosphere with a knife right now, and I sigh, standing up,
"Just going to the toilets" I say, "Won't be long"
Before they can reply I hop out of the booth and straight to the restrooms, sighing in relief as soon as I'm away from there.

George's POV
Great.
Now Lacy's gone I'm left alone with this douchebag.
For her sake, I force myself to start conversation with him, awkwardly sitting up and clearing my throat to speak,
"So..." I start, swirling my coffee around with a stirrer, "How long have you known Lacy"
He looks at me for a while, "Since we were kids" he shrugs, "What about you? A few weeks? A month?"
The tone of his voice aggravates me and I breathe in sharply, trying not to punch something.
"Long enough to know we're perfect for eachother" I say matter of factly, watching his facial expression change,
"Oh please" he mumbles, sitting upright and glaring at me, "I've known Lacy long enough to know that you two won't last, she's just too smitten to realise"
I clench my jaw, "You know what your problem is? You're jealous, probably have a petty crush on Lacy that you still haven't gotten over"
He rolls his eyes, "Me and Lacy are good friends, it could be more, probably will be when she realises what an idiot you are"
"I don't know what you're trying to do but it won't work"
He scoffs, crossing his arms and smiling falsely at me, "No offence, you're probably a nice guy, you're just not the right guy for Lacy. It may suck, but the truth hurts"
At this I clench my fists together, more than prepared to punch him in the face.
Then I remember Lacy, and just as I turn to check if she's back yet I see her leaving the restroom, smiling innocently at me.
