Cooper's P.O.V.
"Cooper are you listening?" My head jolted up at my name, it was my last class, geometry. After walking into that Erica girl in the hall she clouded my mind like a venomous gas. "We're going to homecoming right?" Natasha asked. She had been my girlfriend for a while now. We'd been dating since homecoming last year at my old school when I asked her. I had moved here a little after we'd started dating. She was a nice girl and all. I don't know if she felt it too but the spark was gone, it had been gone for a while. I'm not the type to hurt anyone's feelings though, so I kept trying to make our relationship work, even though it never has worked out.
Gabbi had asked me to play in a band after school after she caught me messing around with a guitar in the performing arts center and I was pretty nervous about that. She said I had talent with the guitar, and it would be great in her band.
"Cooper!?"
"Oh, what?" I asked and she repeated her question for me, I nodded and looked at her "You like to sing right?" I questioned. She nodded.
"Yeah, why?"
"Do you maybe want to hang out after school with this band thing that I guess I'm in?"
"I'm already in it, I didn't think you would be," she smiled at me excitedly I returned the gesture. We walked out of the school together after the bell rang. I watched her climb into her car as I hopped onto the bus, I did my homework on the way home and went to my room as soon as I got through the doors of my house.
I dropped off my book bag on my bed and went into my closet, taking out my guitar case and headed into the hall.
"Where you off to Coop?" I heard my youngest sister, Claire, ask.
"There's a thing at school," I said not bothering to explain it to her. Claire sighed.
"Can I come?" she asked me.
"No," I told her walking past her and into the kitchen.
She fake pouted and followed me "Why not?"
"Because," I sighed, rolling my eyes, "You don't sing or play an instrument," at that Claire shrugged her shoulders in loss of interest, scrunched her face and said.
"Fair point," Then walked out.
I got into my dad's car and drove to the school, my acoustic in the back.
When I got there, Gabbi and Ty were already there. I waved 'hi' and tuned my guitar as Gabbi came up.
"Angelina, Natasha, and Erica should be on their way," she said smiling. I nodded, wait, 'Natasha and Erica'??.....oh sh-.
