A/N: Before you continue to this chapter, I have a warning, you see this dance is going to be very very all over the place, so try to keep up as we follow the main story and Bramberly (Bradley+Amberly), Skella (Sky+Bella), Sany (Sean+Sammy), Lummer (Lance+Summer), and Lobbi (Logan+Gabbi) all get highlighted. so this will be A] fairly long and B]Switching between characters A WHOLE LOT. Enjoy~
Gabbi's P.O.V.
I walk around the gymnasium of our school where the dance is being held. I examine the decor. Student council did okay...I guess, wish I'd been on that committee. Not that they would have listened to me anyway. I sighed, taking off my shoes because my ankles hurt from the heels. Logan came by me with two cups of punch offering me one.
"Thanks," I smile as I take the cup and sip from it.
"No problem," he said then made a face.
I looked at him with slight concern "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," he said then paused "well, this song," he said. I hadn't even noticed the song had changed. The D.J. was playing 'No' by Megan Trainor. He stood up "I'm gonna go request some good songs," he said before heading to the D.J. table. I wanted to facepalm my face through my hand and all the way to China since I knew, for him, a 'good song' is 'Call Me' by Blondie. There's nothing wrong with old music, I actually enjoy it....but at a 2016 high school dance? Nope.
I turn my head to the door to see if the teachers selling tickets at the door were packed up yet but it looked like they'd only just started to. I glanced over at Sammy and Sean, and if they weren't Logan and I last year, I would've considered it goals. They danced side by side, getting nervous at the mention of a slow song. It was cute, Sammy's dress was gorgeous. She wore a flowing pink dress that went to the floor in the back and to her knees in the front. The top was a cute little heart shape. Sammy caught me watching but didn't seem upset instead there was an urgent look in her eyes. I was confused at first but then noticed her hand pointing at someone standing in the corner simply observing the party. It was Cooper...but he wasn't with his girlfriend well, ex-girlfriend I heard she'd paid a guy named Matthew to take her. However, I've known Matthew a while, not closely but for a while and that wasn't the case, I bet he just wanted to come just to come. Unfortunately for him, chicken legged Natasha found out he was single. I nodded at Sammy's gesture still not quite understanding why it seemed so important to her but she went on to enjoy her date.
Speaking of dates, I looked around to see Logan be pulled into the crowd by one of his many cousins he had at this school, he wanted him to take picture of him and his date. I stood beside him waiting, when he was done he looked at me.
"Hey," he smiled.
"Did they accept your requests?" I asked, sorta curious myself.
"No, he said it's hard to get songs from 2001 with the system he has," he sighed then took my hand "But that's no reason to stand still," he grinned.
I smiled back and we walked onto the dance floor, his smiled making me completely forget about what had happened with Sammy.
Sammy's P.O.V.
Oh My God! Can Gabbi be any more oblivious? If Cooper is here. And single! And Erica is here. And single! then Erica and Cooper can leave this building tonight, not single! I thought as I went to the bathroom to fix my hair, I had accidentally taken out the clip trying to dance to a 'Y.M.C.A.' remix.
I walk out and roll my eyes as I hear Natasha's fake laugh pass me into the bathroom. I walk over and find Sean.
Erica ended up coming in a baby blue silky looking dress. It had a sparkly silver belt in the middle that had fabric going to the top to silver straps, which her curled hair covered most of. At the bottom, there was a slightly poofy skirt attached. She looked like a princess, but I guess we all did. Except Summer, who wore a bridesmaid dress she found on sale, it was still really pretty though.
