Erica's P.O.V.
I looked around frantically. Did-did I just murder Cooper!? I couldn't deal with this kind of mental torture, my heart started beating faster than my chihuahua, Canola. I basically then threw myself down the stairs.
"Cooper?"
"Yeah?" I hear him say from behind me.
I whip around in shock "Cooper!!" I basically screeched, "Are you alright?!"
Cooper chuckled a little, "Yeah, I'm fine. I jumped out of the way thank God the handrails are low enough to get over quickly," he said patting them.
I smiled a little "I'll check the door," I said then went up to it. Still locked. Great. Just fantastic. Wait....I'm down here alone, with Cooper for who knows how long..."It's locked," I said trying to hide my excitement. I went back down the stairs and Cooper was sitting on a box of old disney movies.
"So...we're stuck?" he asked and I nodded.
"Huh," he said.
Silence.
A lot of it.
Too much.
"Erica," he started.
"Yeah?" I asked hesitant, not knowing where this was going.
"I'm sorry a-about the dance, homecoming." He said
I sighed and looked away "Oh,"
"Look, I was sick and out of it the day befor but that's no reason I should've been that blind at the dance. I wanted to dance with you I promise," He said then he placed his hand on mine and I could feel the electricity flow up to my cheeks, dragging blush along with it.
I smiled looking up "Really?" I asked, part of me enjoying this, part of me thinking he was just saying this to make me feel better and part of me wondered what Amberly was gonna do to me since I killed the library's only piano.
Cooper nodded. "I like you Erica, a lot." I looked at him and he looked at me, there was nothing, no one and no where but us right then. Except Gabbi who opened the door. Cooper looked at it and stood up. Thanks Gabs..
"Your mom is outside Cooper." she said. She looked at the Piano "Why is it dead?" she asked pointing to it.
"Shut up." I said and we all walked upstairs and went home.
