"Picture walls around your mind, do not let me get through to your thoughts, it'll take some time but with practice you will excel." Kylo instructed, his smooth voice echoing in the large arena.
I sigh heavily and close my eyes tightly, my breathing calming back down to normal and I could finally control my scattered thoughts.
Even though I was calm in a way, I couldn't exactly figure out how to do what he asked. And I was terrified to ask Kylo, fearing he'll lash out at me.
"But...How?" I finally ask, if only he'd actually help me.
He sighed deeply, clearly getting annoyed by my question. Hey, he was supposed to teach me, not torture me.
He looked back to me before speaking; "Picture something...Something that gives you strength. Then, use that strength into trying to block me out, like imaginary walls built around your mind."
I quickly close my mouth realizing that I had been staring at him for awhile, sighing quietly before closing my eyes.
I heard Kylo shift around in front of me, his heavy weight creasing the mats.
"This might... Be uncomfortable." Kylo hesitantly warned.
Wait? Did he just warn me? Was he being nice? No, that couldn't possible be, Kylo Ren is not "nice".
I squeezed my fists together when I felt him enter my mind, the pain worsened when he dug deeper into my thoughts and memories. He was flicking carelessly through my memories and thoughts effortlessly, I couldn't help but worry and grit my teeth in discomfort.
I tried to ignore the pain and think of something that made me happy, something I knew would give me some sort of strength when it came to blocking off Kylo.
My home.
My home was the first place that came to mind, it was of course the place I wanted to be most. I missed everything, the people, the forest, the freedom, and most of all; being away from murderers.
I imagined myself back there, the warm yet cool air blowing through my long hair. Sending small chills down my spine and causing goosebumps to rise up on my pale skin. The giant trees of the forest blew in the wind while I stood with my arms out, appreciating the beauty. The forest was my happy place, the rivers always flowing, it was my happy place.
The fresh smell of wood attacking my nose, the quiet chirping of birds all around me, I wonder what it'd be like to fly? To be free.
Kids playing and running around, their happy screams echoing there way towards me. It was so peaceful.
I felt a growing sensation in my whole body, like I was in complete control, the power filled my body. With this new strength I focused on blocking off my mind to Kylo, making every thought and memory in my head vanish.
Using my strength that I had developed strangely I pushed Kylo out of my mind, building up protective walls around my mind.
The horrid pain soon disappearing, my head finally getting rid of the aching pain.
Smiling with my success I opened back up my eyes to see Kylo staring at me, a small smirk upon his pink lips.
"I did it." I sighed happily, I was proud of my small victory.
"Good, but we're still not done for today." Kylo replied plainly, his deep voice barely showing any emotion. Shouldn't he be proud of me?
I crossed my arms over my chest and looked away from him, fixing my gaze on the chair in the far corner. "Fine, whatever."
