Chapter 2: That's him...

Hi!
I'm Layla Walker, I'm 17 years old, I have a younger brother, Oliver, he's 9 and a younger sister, Macy, she's 13. But my best friend Sophia Davis is practically my sister. We've been best friends for years, but lately all she's been thinking about is how she only has 1 month left, I didn't even know when I had 1 month left, I honestly didn't care. But that's all she's been going on about, I keep telling her not to live in the future but of course, Sophia being Sophia, she can be stubborn.

~Layla's p.o.v~

Ugh! She's got that look again!

"Soph! Snap out of it! You seem spacey again."
I bet she was thinking about him again, she's been doing that a lot more recently.

She apologized and told me, once again, how much time she had left. Gosh, I wish she'd just realize that her whole life doesn't revolve around that one moment, so that's what I told her. Of course, after that remark we went back and forth arguing, but in a loving way, after all, I was just trying to help.

After I walked her home, I went to my house to start working on my geometry homework, we have a test next week!

~Sophia's p.o.v~

When Layla walked me home I went to my room and right away since I already finished my homework, I got on youtube. But in my suggested there was a face I've never seen before but he was cute, so I clicked on the video of course! He said his name was David, as I was watching his video I felt something weird on my wrist. My timer was tingling, it's never done that before. I thought something was wrong until I felt something inside of me that I've never felt before.

"That's him." I whispered.
