Where are you taking me?" Yuri asked breaking the silence of the peaceful ride. "It's a surprise so just be patient. Yuri's eyes wondered on the man in front of him then up down to the side. Just anticipating the familiar roads as they drove.
Otabek pulled into a parking lot by the shabby run down place. Well at least that's what it looked like from the side. Following him side by side to the entrance Yuri was taken back by the beautiful array of flowers on the porch of the shop. There was also a beautiful body of water sparkling by the suns rays right beside it. How could he have not noticed. *cafe Brulet!* the sign read and Yuri somehow felt all red when he realized where his best friend has taken him.
"Table for two." Otabek spoke to the waitress.
Remember this place?!" Otabek asked as he placed one arm around Yuri guiding him where to sit. "I do, it's where we ate when we decided to be friends." Yuri said taking a seat and burying his blushing face in the menu. "Yea, I thought we'd just have a trip down memory lane since today marks the one year anniversary of our friendship." Otabek said while picking up the menu and glancing at his best friend. Yuri then looked over his menu to see Otabek staring at him. Making eye contact with his crush. Otabek's big brown eyes broke away the intense stare to look back blandly at the menu. Yuri still not looking away from the man in front of him got side tracked when the waitress asked to take their orders.
Do friends normally celebrate their year anniversary's. Yuri thought to himself as he tried to remember what he ordered from last time. "I'll take a black coffee with an omelette and steak." Otabek finished his order. "I'll get the iced Carmel frappe with pancakes and scrambled eggs." Yuri finished up rather quickly to get back to his friend who was monotonously sitting on the other end of the booth. "Beka want to take a picture for the gram like we did a year ago?" Yuri said almost worried. "Of course, I don't mind." Otabek said as Yuri moved the camera in the middle of the table facing away from the window to get the best lighting. *snap*
"You always have that same expression. Bland." Yuri said almost yelling at his bestie. "Well I don't like smiling for photo's. I don't even like taking them let alone posting them on social media. But since its you I can always make an exception . Otabek said as he laid his head on his hands patiently waiting for the food to arrive. "It's not fair though I don't like smiling either in my photos but I smile when I'm with you. I want to show my followers I have the most amazing bestfriend in the world. Yuri pouted as their food was placed on the table. Otabek just looked up to stare at the frowning boy in front of him and took a bite of his food still staring at Yuri with a blank expression. "I just don't like photo's." Otabek managed to say before he readily attacked the food before him. Yuri huffed and poked at his food and sipped his coffee.
They finished and left the cafe.
