The entire drive to New Orleans was hectic.
Laura, Klaus, and Rebekah rode with each other. I am riding with Kol.
"Wanna stop by McDonalds? I'm starving!" I said as I finished up my last burger from the other fast food stop. Which was 30 minutes ago.
He just laughed and put his hand on my knee.
"You make me crazy. You know that, right?" He smiled. His smile always made me smile. Even on my darkest days.
"I've known it for a while." I put my hand on his and we kept driving.
We were in front of Klaus, Rebekah, and Laura back there. I asked Kol what they were talking about.
"Just about her pregnancy." He rolled his eyes.
"Kol?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think Laura is going to be a good mother?" I said faintly. I didn't want her Klaus hearing me talk.
"Yes and no. No, because she'll be focused on Klaus the entire time. She basically acts like she's sired to him. Joking. But, she for real does. Yes, because she'll be protective." He said as he cranked up the radio.
I loved riding with him. We were in Mississippi. Almost in Louisiana. I've never been here. The way Kol and Klaus talked about it. It seemed exotic. The life, food, culture.
Since I'm a witch, it's going to be great. Louisiana is known as Americas most haunted state. Or something like that.
I'm so excited to go to bourbon street. I can't drink because if this thing inside me.
"The witches down here are tricky. We need to keep... THAT safe." Kol said as he looked down at my stomach awkwardly.
I softly chuckled.

We arrived at New Orleans. The house the Mikaelson's owned was HUGE. Like, Victorian house huge. I loved it. I was born and raised in South Carolina. So, I'm use to the southeastern part of the United States.
I went inside and noticed how huge it was. I walked inside and sat my bags down.
"Come on, darling. I'll show you your room." He grabbed my bags.
"Kol. You don't have to do that." I said as I put my hand on his arm.
"Of course I do. You're the delicate one around here," He said as Laura walked in. She gave him the evil eye.
"Well, except her." He pointed at her.
I chuckled and grabbed him towards me. I put my finger on his mouth in a shushing way. He grabbed my finger off his lips and pulled me in, landing my lips on his. He had a way with words. I don't know. It was just something about him that made me want to fall at his every word.
I kissed back. It wasn't a violent kiss. It was a sweet kiss.
"I never knew you to be so subtle, Mr. Mikaelson." I said as I smiled.
He took my bags up to my room. I didn't want him to. I wanted to help. I didn't want to be known as delicate. But for nine months, I was. I hated every second of it.
As he put my bags up in my room, I walked towards Laura.
"How do you like being a werewolf?"
She rolled her eyes.
"You know, the pain is the worst. It starts as a stab in the back. But then, it feels like shards of glass are slowly, purposely trying to gut you." I said with my head tilted and smirked.
"I think I can handle it." She said with her arms crossed.
"Bet." I said with a smile. I winked at her. She just angrily grabbed her bags and walked up stairs.
"Great. You're already causing drama with the brand new pregnant lady of the house." Kol said running down the stairs. He laughed at the thought.
"She deserves it. She's the one who triggered my curse." I said as my eyes flowed yellow.
"Calm down, Skylar." He said as he told me in breathe. I shook my head and the anger mostly went away.

We went to explore the city. We went to a place called 'St. Anne's'.
A blonde, short, green eyed, woman walked our way.
"What'd you like to drink?" She said with her notepad out.
"Water and Bourbon." Kol answered as he interrupted me. I was about to speak as he said it first.
"Kol, I want to go check out the witches quarter." I said to him as I looked at him as I wanted him to go with me.
"Darling, I'm sorry but werewolves are banned from the quarter. They were run out of here decades ago. You aren't safe out there alone."
I folded my eyebrows. I sighed and sat down.
"You're safer here with me." I handed smiled and rank my water.
Suddenly, Laura and Rebekah came in.
"Where's Nik?" I asked.
"Off to find the witch who is conspiring against him." Just then, Kol's eyes bulged.
"Right. I better help him." He laid a $50 bill on the table and left. It was just me, Laura, and Rebekah.
"This is awkward." I said to them.
"Yeah. Yeah..." Laura replied.
About 5 minutes later, I finally spoke up.
"So, how are you and Klaus doing?" I said. The most stupidest question.
"Oh, you mean, finding out I was prevent just a few days ago?" She said sassily.
"Now we can't even have sex without worrying about if the baby's getting hurt-" She said as she wondered off with words. Rebekah cut her off before she could say anything else.
"Oh, bloody hell. No more details please." She said as she gagged.
"Ditto." I finished my second glass of water and walked back to the mansion. I saw Elijah waiting there.
"Elijah." I said as I froze.
"Please direct me to where my brothers, Klaus and Kol are." I said with him unraveling his jacket.
"Not the maid." I said with my arms folded.
"You're Skylar, the pregnant werewolf/witch. Aren't you?" I nodded.
Laura walked in.
"Laura." He said with a depressed sigh.
"Last time in heard from Kol, he said they were going to find the witch that's conspiring against him."
"Thank you. You ladies have a good day."
He sped out the door and I waved my hand confused. Please tell me everyday isn't going to be like this and I shut the door.
