After the forced birth by the babies, I had thinking to do. I didn't want my baby to live a miserable life. I didn't want her to have a life full of paranoia and fear. I wanted her to be safe.
I walked into a room full of Mikaelson's including Laura. I guess I can refer to her as a Mikaelson now, since our babies are basically cousins.
I walked in, gloomy. I leaned my shoulder against the door frame. They were all happy, except Laura.
"Kol, I don't think this is safe for the baby." I said, my eyes tearing up.
"What do you mean?" He walked over to me, confused.
"The baby, she's not safe. The witches just MADE me give birth. They wanted to kill her, Kol!" The tears kept coming, slowly.
"She's not safe, she's in danger. They're never going to stop coming for her. We can't keep her here."
"It's okay, darling. She's going to be alright. I will NEVER stop fighting for her. She's my life, so are you. I will never stop fighting for you." He had his hand on my cheek, pulling my hair back.
"God, I wish this was a normal family. I wish she could live here." I held her in my arms, she kept me calm.
"I love you so much, Rosalie." I whispered to her.
"I don't want to miss her first birthday, her first word, her walking. I want to be there!" I rested my head on Kol's chest.
"She's going to be okay, she's going to be safe. You're going to see her first times for everything. I swear it." His eyes started watering.
I looked up at him, I wiped his tear away from his red eye.
"You're not supposed to be crying. I'm the sensitive one." I laughed, a laugh full of tears.
"You are the most strongest woman I know. You've gone through death, birth, changing. You are what keeps me going, you make me realize how lucky I am. You make me not regret my life. I am in love with you, that's more than I could ever ask." He kissed my forehead gently.
"God, I love you. I want you to know that." I gave the baby to Rebekah who was sitting next to me. I hugged him so tight, I felt I was hurting him. We both knew I wasn't. He's the one that kept me going.
He has been so supportive.
"I'm surprised you haven't ran away yet." I joked at this depressing moment.
"I'd never run away from you." He pulled me in, he ran his hands down my waist.
I grabbed Rosalie again, I held her one last time.
"I wanted to wake up with you beside the love of my life. I wanted to watch you grow. I want you to have the life I could never have. I want you to know that your mama loves you more than her life. And, if anyone tries to hurt you, I will reign down them like the Holy Ghost and I will not stop until you are here. You are the bright light in my sea of darkness. I will love you until my last dying breath. You make me proud to be who I am because you are the hope I will always carry with me. Always and Forever."
I whispered to her, of course the entire family heard me. I looked up, seeing Kol smile. I used the family saying 'Always and Forever.' I have truly become a Mikaelson.
"Now, to the person I trust the most with my baby goes to, Rebekah." She looked up surprised. She looked happy.
"What?" A tear drop fell from her blue eyes. Gif.
"You've always wanted to have children, let this be your chance to grow that wish. I trust you with my precious, Rosalie. You have a warriors heart and will go to any lengths to protect her, Rebekah." Kol had said to her, holding her in his arms. He was actually crying.
I nodded at the heart felt message he shared with her.
"I will stop at nothing to protect her, Kol. She will be happy. She will be safe. I promise." She smiled at the future she had always deeply wanted but could never have.
She was about to walk to her car, when I stopped her.
"Rebekah," I said with my eyes tearing up.
"Make sure she knows her mother loves her. Always and Forever." I smiled through the tears.
She smiled and nodded her head.
"I will, I promise." I ran to her and hugged her as tight as I could. I bent down to Rosalie and kissed her on the forehead.
"Well see you again, I swear it."
Rebekah shut the car door and drove off to an unknown location, we didn't know so we didn't get interrogated.
"I miss my baby! I just gave birth two days ago and...and..." Kol grabbed my head and put me to his chest.
I yelled, cried and screamed in his chest. My voice was raspy. I couldn't breathe.
"I miss her more than anyone of us can possibly imagine. She's safe now. We have to tell people the baby died so we don't get asked questions."
I nodded in agreement. Laura walked in the room and asked for blocking the wolf gene.
"Oh, yeah. Of course." I said as I wiped the tears away and grabbed my things.
I walked to the main living room, Laura as sitting in a chair. She already know the routine.
"Great. You're ready." I took a deep breath and cleared my mind.
"Vaspu nacticta balutas phesmatos octivo lectrine exqtrine!" I repeated multiple times as she squeezed Klaus's hand for closure.
She thanked me afterwards, I was still coping with my baby as was she. She and I finally connected after some time.
••••••••• About two hours later, I started feeling my bones crack. The sharp pain started appearing. I was turning! It wasn't a full moon.
"Skylar, what's happening?!" Kol said beside me. I heard Klaus and Laura come down.
"She's turning into a wolf. Lauren it's not safe, you need to hide." Klaus warned her.
Lauren, all puffy eyed, walked over to me cautiously. She put her hand on my heart as my bones were cracking.
Her eyes widened, at shock and fear.
"What?!" Kol said with his killer face on.
"The witches, they're putting the...crescent curse on all of the wolves. For punishment, for betraying them. She's going to be the opposite for transformation. Wolf every day out of a month, except one day."
"No!" Kol walked over to me, not scared to touch me.
"I'm so sorry, Skylar. We'll find a way to cure you. I promise." Lauren had said.
I felt the wolf rushing through me, I lifted my head up quickly and my eyes and fangs were showing.
"Run." I told Lauren. She nodded her head and ran upstairs with Klaus.
"Kol, I love you. Remember that."
"I will kill anyone who was apart of this. I swear it. I will kill them all."
Then, I ran out the door and into the woods like a teenager sneaking in late.
