I sigh, hugging myself tighter as I walked up the steps towards the big doors of Leighton High School, it's gotten so chilly that my arms are shaking when I reach for one of the large silver handles, I tug and the warm air wooshes out at me in a gust. "Ah" I sighed, walking into the corridor,

"Hey Stormy," a slim girl with light blue eyes and one of those tacky Christmas sweaters you get from your grandma said, as I approached the long bench that was placed on the far left, I nodded and waved, I had no clue who she was.

I saw Kenny and a few nimrods from my homeroom messing around outside, I quickly looked down though, ever since the dinner we had where we discussed me not spending as much time with him, I didn't wanna rub him the wrong way and lose him for good.

He laughed as they walked in, that warm laugh with that cute smile all the girls swooned for, "Catch ya later guys," he waved at his friends and walked towards me.

I chewed my lip so hard I thought it was gonna bleed as I pretended not to notice him, "hey, you okay?" he asked, plopping down next to me,

"Yeah, I'm great" I said with a fake, but warm smile.

"Stormyyyyyyy, don't be like that" he carried the 'y' in my name so it almost sounded like he was singing it in a depressing way,

"whhhattttttt Kennyyyyyy" I carried out my words, jokingly mocking him.

He smiled, and nudged me, "we hanging out tonight or what?"

I sighed, looking up at him, "I have plans" I lied, avoiding his eye contact and focusing on his small, thin lips, God, he had nice lips.

"Oh yeah? With your mom?" He teased, "I don't know, I just have stuff to do" I said, almost too quietly, "I better get to class, though." I rushed off before he had a chance to reply, my face burning.
