If it weren't for Kenny, I would have pressed send on that e-mail, strongly worded and headstrong.. Frankly, it made me look like a two year old throwing a tantrum, but I didn't care.

"Stormy" I jumped at my finger clicked cancel, damn

"what?" I asked, probably too coldly.

"God Storm, what is wrong with you lately. You avoid me in the halls, and ditch lunch for the library? The library, and you think I wouldn't know something's up? Come on, I know you better than that." He said the last part softly, as if protecting his words, and there it was, the anxiety.

I clutched the back of my chair and the tears that had been pushed back, suddenly poured out.. At this point, my control was gone, classic.

Kenny, of course, grabbed me and carried me down to the nurse, although she never did anything to help me.. Not that anyone could though. I looked up at the ceiling in the office, floral printed wallpaper, on the ceiling? God, what old lady designed this joint.

"Well goodmorning Stormy" Kenny, bless his heart, attempted a joke, but his voice gave away all the worry that he had.

"I'm fine, Kenny, you can relax" I said, sitting up and swinging my legs back and fourth under the table that I had been laying on.

"I know.. Please, can you tell me what's going on Storm? I know your anxiety is on high, and I wanna know why. It hasn't been this bad since Joe left.." God, he knew everything about me, I guess I talked way more than I thought I did.

I sigh, tucking my hands in my jacket pockets, "I'm losing you Kenny.." I started, "I mean, you're my best friend.. And I love you, I don't want to lose you, ever.." I said the last part so dead silent that I was surprised he could hear me.

"I told you, Stormy, you can't lose me. I just figured, you'd like more friends.." He said, softly.

I looked at his lips, those perfect lips, and before I knew it, mine were on his.

I was half expecting him to push me away, but instead, he pulled me off the table and into his arms, where I instantly relaxed.
