Despite everything that happened in the past, everyone was glad that Thomas was back. Not only that but also for how much he has changed. Though I guess after murdering every person that had caused him pain, there wasn't much to be angry about. He was still a bit serious and he would probably always be, but it wasn't like how he was before. Now he is much more out going and talkative, but the thing that everyone noticed was that familiar speck of insanity in his eyes. Apparently that was another trait of his that stayed with him through the years.  However, they didn't judge him for it. Hell, none of them were completely in their right mind anyways.

"So, Draco. How does it feel that you'll finally be coming into your inheritance?"

Thomas could see the nervousness in the teen's eyes and it made his creatures want to comfort their mate. Though he held back his urges and chose to engage in small talk to get Draco to talk about his discomforts. It would do no good to reveal that they were mates before his Veela surfaced. Besides, a part of him looked forward to seeing the young blondes reaction.

"I have to admit I am nervous. I've read that it is pretty painful. Though, mostly I am excited. I have waited my whole life to come into my inheritance and find the one I'm destined to be with."

A small smile formed on the Raven's face and he gave a nod. Draco understands the importance of a mate to a person with a creature inheritance because he has one. That is why Abraxas couldn't understand how much he truly hurt Thomas. However, perhaps it all happened for a reason. The Riddle Heir is a believer that every event has its purpose. Abraxas was just a painful life lesson. One that he hopes he doesn't have to relearn.

As day slowly turned to night, eyes began to watch the clock. As soon as the clock hit 10:52p.m., the time Draco was born, his inheritance would begin. It was currently 10:50p.m. and everyone was on edge. Especially Draco and Thomas, though for two different reasons.

Before the two minutes were up, Thomas moved to the back of the room , seemingly trying to make himself unseen in the shadows. It was his submissive side wanting to have his mate look for him. It was one of the qualities that have appeared since given up his hate and being driven by revenge. He didn't want to be the protector all the time and subconsciously he wanted to be looked out for. However, that wouldn't mean he'd submit to Draco completely and he would still protect his little dominant when needed.

When Draco dropped down to his knee and let out a spine chilling scream, Thomas had to suppress a whine. He knew first hand how painful it was having had to go through two himself. After what seemed like hours, Draco stood taller than he was before in the middle of the room with fangs, golden eyes, and a pair of huge, jetblack wings. Though, the man made no movement. He just watched Draco to see how quickly he would be recognized as his mate. Which wasn't long because after taking a deep breath in Draco's head snapped straight to Thomas.

T

he man let his glamour's drop as his mate approached him. The green color of his eyes began to mix with black, his teeth became fanged, and dark wings sprung from his back. Stormy-grey eyes stared down at Thomas as he took in the sent of the man. Around them, everyone looked in surprise. It was rare that the submissive was older than the dominant. Nonetheless, they all accepted it. Well, almost all. The eldest Malfoy heir looked at the pair with a clenched jaw. Jealousy filling his chest.

"Thomas...this is certainly a wonderful surprise."

The man uncharacteristically shivered at the sound of Draco's voice. It sounded so smooth but had a certain edge to it. It made his creatures restless. He was not used to feeling this way so he couldn't find the words to reply. That didn't matter to Draco because he could see and feel how he was affecting Thomas. It made his veela purr that he had such a pull on his mate.

Grey eyes roamed over Thomas's newly revealed appearance. However, that was not the only thing he realized was different about the man. His personality had definitely changed, for the good in his opinion. Draco had no problems with the old Thomas, but he could see how content he was in life now. The last time he has seen the Raven he was a ruthless killer. What excited Draco the most was how Thomas radiated dominance to most people and had probably gained power since then, but yet he sits there exposing himself to the blonde. He is in the most vulnerable state he had ever seen the man , and that had him wanted to claim Thomas right then. No matter if he was younger and less powerful, he wanted to protect the man and give him a life he never had.

"Draco, this is all new to me. The feelings and instincts I feel when I acknowledge that I am your submissive mate. For a long time I have known I was not a dominant, but until a few years ago I wouldn't stand for it. I wouldn't be seen as weak and someone to use for their own pleasure. So I supressed them and the urges I felt. Which I guess had a hand in theirs and mine unhinged behavior."

Everyone in the room listened closely and patiently waited for him to continue his story. It was clear he was trying to be better at communicating his feelings.

"It wasn't until after I left here and finally got over my first mate's rejection did I start to realize how much I was hurting myself. It took me even longer to convince myself that my other mate -as I have two creatures- would accept me. The reason I tell you this is because, Draco, after only feeling hatred my whole life I want to feel and understand love...with you."

The hope in the man's eyes couldn't be missed. He had been hurt so much in his life and all he wanted was someone to love him. And who was Draco to deny both him that? He thought of himself lucky to get to call Thomas his mate.

"You are my mate, Thomas. No matter the age differance or your status. I couldn't imagine anyone better to share my life with."

The blonde boy brushed Thomas's hair back and lifed up his chin to place a soft kiss on the other's lips.
