women (rant)

we women have a right to do whatever we want, be whoever we want. we don't have to hide in the shadows of men because we are people too. don't you think everyone should be treated equally? well i do too. i believe us women should stand up for what we believe in. we should be able to be the person we want. we should be able to get what we have worked hard for, not just brushed off because we are women.

Michelle Obama is an amazing person who should be your idol. she went to Princeton University and Harvard Law School. Michelle was the third first lady to have her postgraduate degree. she stands up for what she believes in and she won't let anyone tell her what to do. she is an incredible lady and should be acknowledged for this.

Susan B. Anthony is also someone incredible to admire. she fought for women's rights. she didn't care about consequences or fines. all she cared about was the rights of women and african americans! Susan is a fascinating lady who helped create the International Council of Women, which is still active today.

i'm sure everyone knows about Rosa Parks. Rosa is a strong woman who, yet again, didn't care for consequences. when asked to move from her seat on a bus she said no. because of this act, Parks brought attention to this situation. although Rosa wasn't the first to do this, her act brought attention to the world.

these women have impacted the world with what they did (and for one, continuing to do). women deserve to be treated as people. why are we not treated the same way as men? is it because there is a stereotype that we are weak and scared. or it is just because men are weak and scared that women are stronger. maybe not every woman is as strong as she looks but there are definitely women out in the world stronger than millions of men.

we are not only good for cooking, cleaning, caring, sewing. we are also good for building, leading, protecting, and providing.

we will not hide in the shadows anymore.
