Josh smelled some baking from the kitchen. Seemed like his mom decided to please children on Valentine's Day, because usually in the morning they ate only healthy food. Josh walked to the table and touched a bracelet with the «Best buddies» inscription, which he wore constantly on his left hand. He did that every time when he was worried or nervous.

- Mom, good morning - Josh smiled trying to hide the tremor in his voice, - I wanted to say that you don't have to drive me and Tyler to school today, we decided to leave earlier and go to school on foot, it seems like today is one of the rare sunny days in Columbus.

Josh finished speaking and looked at his mother waiting for a response. It seemed to him that his mother stiffened and didn't believe him, but when she spoke, Josh relaxed.

- Of course, Joshua – started his mother with a smile - Just look at the table, there's a surprise for you and Tyler.

Josh went to the table and picked up a Valentine card with the words, "To beloved son from a loving mother." Josh smiled and glanced at what was written on Tyler's card. "Thank you, for making my son happy. For Tyler from Momma Dun. "

Josh put valentines in his pocket and went to his mother to hug her.

- Thanks, Mom, I'll give it to Tyler, he will certainly like it - he said burying his nose in mother's neck.

- He will like it even more if you give him my cookies, - said Laura to the son, handing him the box.

Josh smiled, picking up incredibly smelling cookies, put on the jacket and went out into the yard. If only Laura knew it was the last time she would see her son's smile, she wouldn't let him go so quickly.

It really was one of the sunniest days in town. This year, the winter in Columbus was the warmest in the last few decades, the temperature was above the zero most of the time.

Josh looked at his watch, and as soon as the arrow stopped at 7 am, Josh heard joyful greetings of the friend. Tyler was never late and Josh loved this habit of his best friend.

- Hey, Joseph, - said Josh, smiling, and stretched out his hand for a handshake, waiting for an answer.

- Hi, Dun, - Tyler shook Josh's hand in response, and his face lit up with a smile, which always made Josh feel better – Come on - said Tyler and walked towards the school but on one street turned left leaving school in the right. – Be ready to spend the best day of your life together with the best friend in your life.

Josh was walking next to his friend and inadvertently glanced at Tyler's bracelet, the same as he wore himself. Somehow, some part of Josh was afraid that sooner or later, this bracelet will disappear and their friendship will end. But already 10 years, nothing had changed. Tyler and Josh - best friends, together against the whole world.

- I have a surprise for you – said Josh and handed his mother's present: valentine card and a box of cookies to his friend.

Tyler took the gifts from Josh's hands and ran his eyes over the writing on the card, put it in his pocket and opened the box with cookies.

- I need to come at your place this evening and thank your mom personally - he said, munching gingerbread heart – By the way I have something for you too. I had a huge inspiration last night.

Josh took the paper from Tyler's hands, opened it and read the phrase that first caught his eye.

«You are surrounding all my surroundings. Sounding down the mountain range of my left-side brain. You are surrounding all my surroundings twisting the kaleidoscope behind both of my eyes. And I'll be holding on to you. »

- Yo, fren, this is awesome. I'll try to come up with the drums to this tonight when I go to practice.

Josh put the paper in his pocket. He did not like to read Tyler's poetry on the go, he liked to lock himself in his room and read them a bunch of times, pondering on each character, because he knew that his friend was a master of words, that put his own meaning in every sentence.

- Check it out, I thought of something for Jenna too, after that she would definitely agree to go out with me, - said Tyler and handed yellow valentine to Josh.

On the card in the form of banana was written the phrase "For you I am ready to do anything. Even eat a banana. Will you go on a date with me?". The whole school was aware that Tyler hated bananas. Everyone knew that since the second school year when during the lunch time Tyler threw a banana into the wall and shouted: "Who Invented this stupid thing???"

Josh laughed and returned the card to Tyler.

- Fren, now she is yours - said Josh smiling and patted his best friend on the shoulder, - But we aren't going to school today or I don't understand something?

- Nope, only you and me today. I will give her the card tomorrow. I just hate this stupid holiday, so I thought it would be cooler to spend the day here – said Tyler, pointing at the amusement park, which could already be seen around the corner. Josh didn't even notice how they passed a great part of the city and appeared near the park.

- Admit it, it's better than hanging around the school all day long, - added Tyler with a smirk on his face.

Josh just nodded, knowing that arguing is pointless. But there was nothing to deny, no matter what an obedient guy Josh was, he didn't like to study like the most teenagers of his age.
