Chapter sixteen

I could hear the door banging open and closed I opened my eyes and it was almost pitch black. I got up and headed towards the door it was opening and closing I looked through the crack and it was still pouring. Then there was a flash of lightning and I saw the herd outside I gasped and slammed the doors shut and held it there then i noticed Daryl was next to me helping me keep it shut. Then slowly the others joined as they woke up.

We woke up and it was so quiet. The rain had stopped and we had survived. We all stepped out. There were trees and walkers all over the place yet the shack was untouched. We all looked around some more then we went back into the shed. We were all relatively quiet. Maggie and Sasha were outside.

After a while they came bursting through the door with a guy that was tied up. He came in and started saying he had a place we could go and live and that he was the one that left water for us. We were skeptical and after a while the guy kept rambling and Rick knocked him out and everyone started to divide up. Michone and a small group went to see if he was telling the truth about the cars. And as luck would have it I was keeping watch with Daryl outside. It was really quiet. Everyone that hadn't gone with Michone had stayed behind and was watching the shack.

We kept to ourselves and it was awkward. "So do you believe that guy" I heard Daryl speak from behind me. "And if I do so what we all follow Rick it's how we stay alive. Now a days you can't trust anyone you guys are the only people I've seen that ain't killing whatever or whoever they see... when I was alone I would come across a group and watch from far away after a day I noticed how greedy and dangerous they were so I would keep moving it wasn't easy but it had to be done. I didn't want to be alone but it was the only way to survive. I would see groups turn on each other and men rape the women and kids get killed for nothing and I couldn't do anything about it" I said "so no I don't think we can trust them but we can give them a small chance just in case." I turned to look at him and he just looked at me with a face that said he didn't know how to respond. It was silent again. It took a while but the group came back with the cars and it proved the guy wasn't lying. We set a plan to leave at sundown I was going to be going in the RV with the bigger group. It was all really fast and we ended up held up in a abandoned building with Aaron's partner who was injured. Then it was a waiting game we waited a good while to see if Rick and the others were ok. They were but they had an argument about who sleeps where and it was settled quickly and the rest of the night was quiet.

Sorry it's short but could you who are reading this comment ideas I have horrible writers block and I need inspiration for the next chapters. Comment stuff that you would like Ghost to do or experience or if you want her to be a little more open with Daryl or go super slow. It would also give me an idea of where this story is going.
