Chapter ten

Ghost P.O.V.

When I opened my eyes it was daylight everyone was still asleep except for Rick and Michone. I could hear them whispering off in the distance outside. I looked around and I could see little Judy fussing on her little make shift bed so I got up and walked over to her and picked her up she started to giggle as I bounced her on my hip.

Rick heard the laughter and came in. He gave a half smile and went to grab her but she hide in my neck and started to fuss refusing to be taken from me. I laughed and I could hear Michone chuckle from behind Rick. "She really likes you" he said and played with her little hand.  "Yeah I noticed" I chuckled, "but how long before we go? I asked.

He looked at me and frowned "as soon as everyone is ready" I nodded at his reply and made Judy bounce on my hip again and she giggled more. Before I know it the others woke up to the sound of her giggling. She was adorable and her blue eyes shined with amusement she was happy for the time being and it made me smile. Oh how I missed taking care of kids.

Everyone gathered around me and watched little Judy smile and giggle except for Daryl who I assumed still didn't trust me but I could tell he was amused by little Judy's happiness. He was just trying very hard not to show it.

We stayed like that for a while before we all decided it was time to go and it took time to get Judy to let go of me and get her into her brother's arms. Almost everyone got a laugh out of me trying to get her to let go of the death grip she had on me. I was not amused at all. Then when I finally got her to let go she started crying so I had to give her my plain black bandanna that, I had cleaned yesterday, to get her to stop fussing and crying. "Take care of it little Judy I'm going to want that back," I said and gently poked her small nose and she smiled as if she know what I meant. Then she proceeded to put the cloth in her mouth and I chuckled and shook my head "your luck your cute" I said and she gave me an evil smile like she know what she was doing.

Then it was time to go I followed the others out and I kept up the pace I was at the front of the group. I really wanted to get there as soon as possible because I wanted Carol back I needed to know she was safe. I couldn't lose her again not this time.

It took us a while but we made it back to the city and Daryl,Rick and the kid ,Noah, laid out the plan I was anxious I wanted this over and done with so we could get our people back I personally didn't know who Beth was but she was Maggie's sister from what I gathered and she sounded like a nice person. So I wanted to get them both back I really wanted to meet Beth and I wanted Carol back.

The plan was set into motion Noah needed to attract the 'policemen' so we could take them hostage and he did just that using some gunfire. They chased him and then we cornered them then everything went by so fast we caught two but then more showed up and the two we caught made a run for it. I know they wouldn't get far their hands were tied and the third one got into a scuffle with Daryl but Daryl won.

Then Rick wanted to shot the guy who came in last but we convinced him three was better than two. Now we just had to make contact and do the trade off then I would feel a lot better about this.

It was all going according to plan the 'policemen' had agreed to help us but then one of them attacked Sasha and made a run for it. Rick went after him and he ended up dead because he refused to listen to reason and started mouthing off. The two hostages we had left said that he was one of the good one but that they would say that the rotters got to him and that they saw it go down. It appears that almost all of them didn't like this dawn person but apparently I scared them more because I would get close to them and they would flinch away. "Am I really that scary?"I asked and Noah replied with a quick yes then backed away when I looked at him. "Well that's sorta funny" I gave a weak chuckle and Noah and the other two flinched back a little. "I guess it's all the weapons or something" I muttered to myself and shrugged.
