I tremble on the inside,
But still reach out for your hand,
I force myself not to shake
Even though I stand so close
That we breathe the same air.
Your smile reaches your eyes
And I lean into you
Unsteady on my feet,
Lips brushing just before they meet.
Tentative, hesitant, uncertain at first.
Never have I kissed before.
Never have I felt this way.
Your arms encase me
And your lips tease me
And your fingers move through my hair.
I feel alive and in love.
I feel your warmth envelope me.
I kiss you again, fully, deeply, completely.
