I will wait for you
At the end of the line
Far behind the people
Trying to board the train,
Fleeing from the oncoming
Madness,
Booming down,
Firing up,
Engulfing
City
Upon
City.
~
I will wait for you
To settle somewhere safe
To find a hide away
From the horror of the raids
From the impending chaos
That reigns down on
War-torn
Broken-down lives.
I will wait for you.
~
I will find you
When the rain stops,
When walls no longer
Crumble.
I will find you
When it is safe.
I will make my way
On the next passage,
On the next train.
~
Until then
Don't forget
That I am
Just a little delayed,
On my journey
Back to you.
