•a 'found poem' that uses words and lines from two pages of a book to create a base for a poem•

good enough?
nope.
in fact, i'm all out of hope.

"i know how your feeling."
that false statement sends my anger reeling,
hit over and over until i'm numb,
it's a bad dream i can't wake up from.

it feels like i'm drowning in molasses,
and i can't quite reach the surface.

now my anger's a burning furnace.

how have i become so unstable,
my anger and sadness beckon me to flip this table.

drowning, drowning, in cement,
now i know what they really meant:
'i don't know how you're feeling or how to help you.'
