< Flashback : interrogation with captives >
Gojo stands before the two captives, his presence alone enough to instill fear in the hearts of those who dared to oppose him. The captives, bound and weakened, exchange nervous glances. They know who they are dealing with — Satoru Gojo, the most powerful Jujutsu sorcerer. But they have a mission, one more important than their own lives.
Gojo's cerulean eyes, usually bright with mischief, now bore into the captives, his eyes hidden behind his signature blindfold, yet the intensity of his presence is palpable. There is no need for him to exert his full power; his mere presence is enough to make the captives tremble. He is not here to play games.
"Let's make this simple. You're going to tell me everything," Gojo began, his voice cold and devoid of emotion. "Why is your master after Miyu?"
The taller of the two captives, his breath ragged and shallow, exchanged a nervous glance with his companion. They had been prepared to face the strongest sorcerer alive, but sitting before him now, they realized that words could not capture the terror of this moment.
"She... she's just an ordinary being," the taller captive stammered, trying to buy time, but the words came out weak and unconvincing even to his own ears.
Gojo's jaw tightened. "Ordinary? You expect me to believe that?"
The smaller captive, sensing the danger of further defiance, swallowed hard and spoke up, his voice trembling. "She may be ordinary, but... but to our master, she's the most powerful possession he could ever have. She holds a power, a significance... not in strength, but in what she represents."
Gojo narrowed his eyes, the weight of the captives' words sinking in. "What do you mean by that? What does she represents to your master?"
The taller captive hesitated, fear eveident in his eyes. But under Gojo's unyielding gaze, he had no choice but to continue. "Miyu is... she's the embodiment of purity, of light. She's everything our master despises, and yet... she's what he desires most. To possess her, to corrupt her... it would be the ultimate victory. By turning her into something dark, something twisted... he believes he can finally achieve his goals."
Gojo's heart pounded, the realization dawning on him. "And what does this have to do with me?"
The smaller captive, his voice a whisper now, spoke the words Gojo had been dreading. "It's you, Gojo. You're the strongest sorcerer alive, but your strength is also your downfall. Your attachment to Miyu... your love for her... it makes you vulnerable. Our master knows that by going after her, by taking her from you, he can destroy you from within. That's what he seeks — to break you, to watch you fall into darkness, just like she will."
Gojo's breath caught in his throat. He had always known that his enemies would target those he cared about, but hearing it spoken aloud, the depth of their intentions, shook him to his core. Miyu wasn't just a target because of her significance — she was a means to an end, a way to unravel everything he had fought to protect.
"And where is your master now?" Gojo asked, his voice low and dangerous.
The captives exchanged another glance, their fear overtaking their loyalty. The taller one finally sighed in resignation. "He's hidden deep within an old temple, where cursed energy converges. He's preparing for the ritual... to bind her to him, to strip away everything that makes her who she is."
