Ben 10, Multiverse Academy: Book 1, Aliens In Crazy Land

Summer Fireworks

Hey guys!, Before I start my first book, let me just say that this fanfiction takes place in an alternate Ben 10 reality (Or cross time universe, as Professor Paradox would phrase it). So there are going to be alot of different stuff regarding to the relation between the Ultimatrix and the Omnitrix, as well as how the Omnitrix actually works compared to the ones from all four tv series, and there will be a difference in the order of when and how Ben unlocked the aliens from Alien Force onwards.

"So, when are the fireworks again?" Ben asked his cousin.

It was a bright summer's day. Summer Vacation was almost over, and the 15 year old boy known as Ben Tennyson was sipping on a smoothie as he walked along behind his cousin Gwen and his best friend Kevin.

"Ben be patient." Said Gwen. "It's not even night yet, how are they supposed to light up fireworks now?"

"Very carefully." Said Kevin grinning. "Though I think Heatblast could probably give us a little preview right now."

"Maybe..." said Ben as he began inching his hand over to a techy looking green wristwatch on his left arm.

"Guys!" said Gwen. "You know Ben isn't supposed to go alien in public like this!"

"Come on Gwen..." said Ben. "What's the harm? No one's looking. And besides.....with the way this stupid thing acts up all the time, I'll probably change into Clockwork instead of Heatblast, so no noticable fireworks here."

"Ben, we both know the only reason you mistransform is because you hit the faceplate so hard when you use the Omnitrix it throws the dial off." said Gwen. "For pete's sake, Azmuth told you that himself!"

The place the trio were currently walking along was an old rural neighborhood in a mountainous part of Japan. Two weeks ago, Gwen had suggested the they take a vacation to Japan, since Kevin was interested in the different techinical advances they made in the cars here and also because Ben was obsessed enough with anime that a japanese exchange student in his class actually called him an Otaku.

It had been an awesome week. No alien attacks, madmen trying to take over the world, or Vilgax trying to rip Ben's head off. In fact, it had been like this for months, as if the entire universe had decided to take a break from causing trouble. Ben didn't mind.....he liked a normal life for a change.....but he was also bored to tears.

In the past months he must have gained at least 20 new aliens, yet he hadn't had much of a chance to try them all out thanks to the fact that their was no reason to. Not that he hadn't changed into any of them and used their powers, more like he never had anything to use them for, so having the Omnitrix around was starting to feel......pointless.

"Hey Tennyson." said Kevin, who had stopped walking and was now waving a hand in front of Ben's zoned out face. "Ya still in there? Don't make me have to come in and pull you out your own dumbness."

"Ha ha." said Ben sarcastically.

Kevin shrugged. "Just doing my part to make sure you don't hurt yourself O' Brain Of Wonder."

"So Gwen." said Ben talking to his cousin again. "Where are we going anyhow? We've been walking for hours."

"Don't be silly Ben." said Gwen. "It's only been about 30 minutes."

"Yeah," said Kevin. "But with this heat, and the slow rate our male brains move, it feels like it's been 30 days."

Gwen sighed. "Fine, if you guys really want to know, we're going to that kimono shop I saw earlier yesterday....."

"No way!" Kevin exclaimed. "Are you really planning on dressing up like the traditional Japanese girls do during those Firework festival things?"

"You got a problem with that?" Gwen asked raising an eyebrow.
