"Are we there yet....?" Carter moaned, as the entire class trecked through the dense forest.

"No" said Samantha. "We'll get there when we get there!"

"But it's been hours, I dont think I can feel my legs......"

Samantha sighed. "First of all, the trip always takes a couple of days, you know that. And second of all, you can't really complain about your feet considering you've been riding Wildmutt for the past hour and a half!"

Indeed, Carter was currently sitting on the back of the alien beast dog who was trecking with ease through the rough terrain. Ben had turned into Wildmutt for several reasons.....firstly, because this forest could get really dark on you really quick if you didn't watch out. Secondly because Carter absolutely begged him to. And thirdly, to keep an eye (not that Wildmutt had eyes) on Mortis without having to be right next to him.

Lilly trecked right behind Wildmutt along with Ruko. Apparently, like Ruko, Lilly also had a natural affinity for being able to see in the dark, so both she and Ruko, unlike the rest of the class, did not carry flashlights or any other light source. Samantha had her flames obviously, so she didn't carry a flash light either. Arbo rode right behind Carter on Wildmutt's back, being rather cheerful.

When asked why she was acting so cheerful, Arbo merely shrugged and said. "The trees here tell some great jokes about dumb squirrels."

After about an hour more of trecking through the dense dark forest, the class finally made it to a wide round clearing with the bright light of a sun set shining though, and daffodils growing all around.

"Hmm...I suppose this will be an adequete place to camp for the night..." said Mortis.

Immediately, the entire class groaned with relief and collapsed on the grass. Wildmutt however, started growling at the treetops nearby.

"What is it Monster Kid?" said Ruko raising an eyebrow. "Rath got your tongue? Stinkfly in your bonnet? Got a toe to pick?"

Samantha groaned. "Honestly Ruko, your jokes are going to be the death of us....."

Ruko just grinned. "It's all part of my charm Flame Girl."

Lilly on the other hand looked where Wildmut was growling with a serious expression on her face. "You sense something in there Ben?"

Wildmutt let out a confirmational snarl.

"Well then....." said Lilly thrusting out her hand which had the glowing skull tattoo on the palm. "I call upon the spirit of the known and unknown, the one that sees all .....Oculus!!"

There was a puff of smoke, and immediately a kimono and set of slippers appeared. The kimono hung in mid air, as well as the slippers, as if someone invisible was wearing them and sitting crosslegged in mid air. Over where the head was usually, floated an large basketball sized yellow eyeball with a blue colored iris.

Oculus's eye swiveled in mid air to look at Lilly. "Hello M'lady, as always, I am dedicated to serving you. Is there something you wish for me to do?"

"Heh, pretty polite for such a creepy familiar." said Carter.

"EXCUSE ME!!!?" The eye swiveled around to look at Carter, turning bloodshot as the air pressure seemed to shift in terror. "Did you just call me creepy!!!!?? I'll banish you to the Dimension Of A Thousand Screams for that!!"

"Whoah!" Said Carter falling off of Wildmutt in fright.

"Oculus, could you please tell us what's over there?" said Lilly pointing at the trees that held Wildmutt's attention.
