"It just doesn't make sense!" Ben closed his book shut with an air of having just blown his brains out.

Ben and Samantha were in the school library studying while Carter was at the school nurse being reverted back to his human form, apparently he still hadn't changed back from being a foot stool.

The school library was almost as ginormous as the cafeteria, only it was slightly more intimidating because of the collosal maze of 50 ft tall shelves that towered around the room. Strange tropical birds flew around everywhere, carrying books and scrolls in their talons as well as DVDs and other strange information devices that probably came from other dimensions.

Ben and Samantha were currently sitting at one of the large round tables at the center of the library. Samantha closed her book as well.

"Really? I thought the theory that telekinises can also be used to manipulate air currents made perfect sense."

"I'm not talking about Power Listing class." said Ben eying his the textbook titled Strange Abilities: What To Expect, By Brad Rulman. "I'm talking about those strange dissapearences. I've been asking all the teachers whether there was any way any guide could get lost in The Forest Of Ruins, and they've all told me the same thing. That the only way any staff member could possibly get lost, is if they purposely went to the unexplored zone......and the only way that would happen is...well."

"You don't actually think a teacher would be kidnapping students would you?" said Samantha. "But that's never happened before....at least not that I know of."

"Well if it's true." said Ben. "Then that means there would have to be a part of that forest that was explored, but only a few knew about........"

Suddenly, a tropical bird flew low to the table and dropped a scroll in Ben's lap. The Tengusos or 'librarians' as they were called by the students, were like little helpers in the library. If you needed any sort of information, any at all, they would act like an internet search engine......it was actually rumored that the Tengusos could read your mind,

Ben picked up the scroll from his lap and unrolled it.

"What is it?" asked Samantha. "What does it say?"

Ben flattened the scroll out on the table. It was a complete map of the Forest Of Ruins. Ben could tell because Ruko's map had looked very similar, except the language on this map was not something he had ever seen before.

"This map is old." said Samantha. "REALLY old. The area here that's usually marked as Arbodentro's domain is instead marked as Mavroroot's domain, he was supposed to be Arbo's dad, the guy who managed the forest and garden before Arbo took over."

"You can read this?" Said Ben.

"I learned a little bit of this language last year in Ancient Languages class." said Samantha. "This is called Ruikian. It's one of the dead languages that used to be spoken in one of the 12 high dimensions."

"12 high dimensions?"

"The dimensions that are supposed to be the most closely parallel to Earth Magnus's dimension." said Samantha. "There are billions of different parallel Earths, but how closely they are in relation to the orriginal Earth is ranked by number. The dimension I come from is ranked 14th. Yours is ranked 35th. It's actually rumored that the Regal Seven all come from one of the high 12."

"So back to the main point." said Ben. "You can read this right?"

"Not much." said Samantha. "The only word I remember was Mavroroot because he was so famous in the Academy's history."

"Well then." said Ben activating his Omnitrix. "I might have someone who can read it...."

There was a flash of green light, and Ben changed into a large crab-like creature, with a humungous head and pincers and six spidery legs. Brainstorm moved his ginormous armored head to look down at the map.
